Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Town of Delavan

I have to say that we just had the worst service from this Dairy Queen today. I called them 9 minutes after they opened this morning. This was supposed to be a simple happy birthday with our son's name on it in red writing with a red border. They asked us what time we like to pick it up but we asked for noon. My fiance ended up getting to the store shortly after 12:00, where the people working proceeded to tell him that they did not have an order for this cake. This is when my fiance ended up messaging me and letting me know what had happened. I immediately called The Dairy Queen where they told me that they could have a cake ready in 5 minutes for him and that we would get a discount for the mix up. After the cake was made the person working tried not to show my fiance what the cake look like we prior to purchasing the cake and proceeded to give us a discount for the candle for the cake. I have to say with them saying that there was going to be a discount I figured it would be a little bit more than just a $2 candle. And I know what a lot of people would think well maybe they were busy and they forgot or anything along those lines but when my fiance was in there he was the only customer in the whole Dairy Queen I am quite disappointed in their customer service and I will never be purchasing another custom cake from this...

Very disappointed in this establishment. The Honey BBQ tender basket used to be so good. They had huge strips, and now they’re like hard chicken nuggets. They also used to give a ton of fries, making the price worth the food. now it seems like they just wipe some sauce on the now small tenders, and leaves me feeling disappointed. I was a huge fan of this location since middle school, but over the last year things have changed. Food quality has significantly gone down and it feels like they give you those leftover trash scraps that you’ve been dreading to eat at home. Will not be ordering food here ever again after today. This is the worst it’s been and it’s gross. I never have written reviews for a restaurant before but unless this establishment brings back the quality we all know and loved in the past years, you will keep losing frequent customers.

In the past, I used to love coming here, but my lastest trip was less than enjoyable. We drove through the drive thru, as the dining room is closed, due to COVID. The girl taking the order had a real attitude problem. Every item I ordered, was met with a sigh and an aggressive "anything else?!?!!!" When we pulled up to the window, the order was completely wrong. The plain burgers had everything on them and the sundaes had the wrong toppings on each. Both sundaes ordered were supposed to be the same, but both were wrong in unique ways. The only good part of the visit was the gentleman at the window. He was super polite and made sure everything was corrected before we left. He also was very apologetic. I am hoping they just have some staffing issues, as they do have now hiring signs...
