This was supposed to be our wedding anniversary weekend away for my husband and I. The room was clean and okay, but the fan ran all night very loud and the walls are paper thin we heard all the noise in the hallway even though we had asked for a quieter room. We had wanted to eat at the Hunt club and we were talking about it in the lobby and the girl at the front desk said let me get you a shuttle. That was very nice! Only to find out they dropped us off at the wrong place it was Geneva national Craft bar. We did not know this, thought we were in the right place ordered drinks which took over 20 minutes to get back to the table and then they came back and said oh we're out of two of the drinks you ordered. How can you be out of a mixed drink? Then a storm came in and a very large wedding from outside all came into this very small bar area. It was so loud you couldn't even think! I asked the waitress if we were in the right place only to find out that we were not. The manager called to try and get us in to the correct restaurant only to find out now it was too late They were full! The Craft is handheld sandwiches at best it's a golf bar! The manager did help us with our bill knowing that we were not happy. We decided to go to the indoor pool first thing in the morning. Only to find dirty paper coffee cups left on the floor, standing water in both of the floor drains, And when I brought that to the attention of a maintenance guy who walked through his response was " it's always like that they're old pipes" and very stained, supposedly fresh laundered towels! We then decided to go out to the outdoor pool, which we found a lot of cigarette butts as well as disgusting old fruit left on the pool deck. limes and oranges wedges from drinks as well as dirty Band-Aids, hair wad, and overall it just wasn't cleaned up. I would think somebody would clean clean up the pool and the deck before opening. Then we were locked out from the outdoor pool to the indoor pool. When I'm paying over $500 for a night at a hotel this is not my expectation! I was very disappointed on our anniversary weekend!

Genuinely one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a hotel. We checked in late and got our room keys. One of them didn’t work so we figured we’d address it in the morning. Overnight, the light and fan sensor in the bathroom kept going off no matter how many times we clicked it off, so we had to sleep with that on the entire night. I woke up extra early to start getting ready for a wedding I was going to be that day, and the shower wasn’t working. Went down to the front desk where the woman at the desk said she’d send maintenance later to check it out. She offered zero alternatives. When I asked what she could do for a solution and asked if we could get a new room with a working shower, she said we could shower in the room across from us, but that they were going to need that room back? It grossly sounded like they weren’t going to even clean it once I did shower. Eventually, I just ended up showering at my friends Airbnb where we were getting ready for her wedding. When I was in the shower at the hotel trying to get it to work, there was a huge glob of hair in the corner and pieces of hair all over the shower. I truly don’t think it was even cleaned prior to us getting there. My fiancé stayed back at the hotel to get ready for the wedding. There was no iron or ironing board, and maintenance never came. For how much we spent to stay two nights at what’s meant to be a “luxury” hotel, this place was absolutely not worth the price. At least the Holiday Inn would have given us an iron and a do not disturb sign.

Stayed twice in a week on our way to and from northern Wisconsin. On the way there the room was $190 which was a great price for this hotel. We checked in and headed to the pool which in my opinion is the best part of the hotel. The pool has music, a bar with a waitress that serves you, a hot tub connected to the pool and tons of seating. That is where we spent the entire evening. They also have a small outside bar menu which was good enough and the food was tasty. The rooms are fine but feel the Hampton & Holiday Inn have more comfortable beds and pillows. They had a pool table and foosball table inside also. On the way home we also decided to stay mainly for the relaxation around the pool. It cost us almost $500 due to it being fourth of July weekend. I feel that $300 would have been a little bit more reasonable price hike. The hotel was not worth $500 in my opinion. They day we left my two boys wanted a snack. I bought one 8oz sparkling water and two Mott's Applesauce packets and my total was $11 roughly. That is completely unreasonable. In a grocery store (which was not far) I can buy two packets and the same sparkling water (32oz) for $4 Would I stay here again? Probably! Just not for a holiday weekend and I certainly would not buy any food or drinks from the " convenience area"

What was wrong? Just about everything. |Stating rooms are lakeside give the impression they have lake view. Nope. Very misleading.||The pool and pool deck are nice size; IF FOR GUEST ONLY. It was so crowded it could not be enjoyed. Maybe a solution would be to have another pool for NON GUEST. Or better yet, a pool for paying guest only. For what we were charged per night for the room, we shouldn’t have to share the pool with people who were not staying there. It was a circus of adults drinking and standing around in the pool. You couldn’t swim if you wanted to because so many people were in the pool.||Dogs barking on each side of us. They should have a dedicated area or floor for guests with dogs. Its not that we don’t like dogs, we have one. But when I am vacationing without her, I don’t want to be woken up in the middle of the night because someone’s dogs were barking. ||List of restaurants-Multiple restaurants listed but only 1 in on the property and it’s only open for dinner. Coffee counter only open to 1pm. It’s very misleading as you must drive to restaurants or use the shuttle.||Fitness room had plenty of machines; jam packed into a tiny room.||Air conditioning was so loud we thought it was on its last leg. ||Bathroom fan would go off and on by itself. We had to use our bodies to get the door to close and latch. The bottom and side of the door looked like it had been chewed on. The fan was coming off the wall.|Patio door took two hands to unlock and that was with some force. Patio not private. The patio sidewalk was covered with large flower bushes and ornamental grass. Not great if you have bee allergy as when you opened door, bees were flying all over the flowers. ||Its pretty despicable that guest are charged a daily resort fee but have to share the pool with non-guest. We specifically selected this resort because they had a nice outdoor pool. We arrived on a Saturday checked out on Wednesday. Oh, by the way, early check in is a joke. Nonexistent. I called twice to ask and was given a line of BS. Anyhow, the pool was closed Monday with no opening date from staff. And the resort staff waited to tell guests. I found out by walking down to the pool and seeing maintenance. Supposedly someone broke glass. Not sure I believe it as the water was very cloudy on Sunday. Most likely due to so many people. The solution that they came up with was to use the pool at Geneva National. This solution was not given to us until Tuesday. It rained all day Tuesday. Not hardly a pool day. Also, this meant you had to get in your car and drive over to use the pool. I heard the front desk telling people the pool was closed but downtown Lake Geneva has beautiful beaches. They neglected to tell guests that you have to pay to park AND pay to use the public beach. The resort didn’t offer to pay for using the beaches but were perfectly fine charging people a resort fee. I understand the resort fee includes more than the pool, but if you specifically came to use an outdoor pool, you were screwed. Also, we didn’t use the other amenities. We did get a refund on the resort fee, but only because we disputed the charge.||The deck bar was nice, and the staff was wonderful. Can’t say the same about management since there was no manager on site. If you wanted to talk to the manager, again, you had to get in your car and drive to Geneva National.||Our families have been staying there off and on since the 70’s and it was Interlaken. And we loved it. Since it is now owned by Geneva National, it is not worth the cost of staying there. They updated the lobby but neglected the rooms. ||They are a 1 star hotel trying to appear as a 5 star. If I could give it half a...

The rooms are not bad. But this experience was not my favorite. The shower and the bed is my go to when it comes to the excitment of getting a hotel room. The beds are hard. Pillows are hard and lumpy. The shower head was obviously old, water shooting out every direction and no option to adjust it, very obvious it was hard water because it dried out my skin and hair terribly. Major disappointment there when it came to spending over half a morgage payment to stay the weekend here. But we were also put right next door to the pool area, and in front of an exit where there was high traffic coming and going. We dont have any kids, just my husband and I booking the room so I supposed id have hoped for a little more thought into our room location since there is no option for me to pick exact location myself. Also, there was construction throughout the building to the point where we had to squeeze between plywood in the halls to get to and from our room. Could only fit 1 person at a time through the hall and in my case with luggage dangling off my arms I was dragging across the walls to get through. And entrance ways were blocked off causing detours but no signs to explain where to go. I am a very understanding person, I know it is off season still for another few weeks before everything opens up around here, they need to get their work done before its tourist overload, i get it, but there were no indications of constructiong happening when i booked us this getaway. If i would have known I would have called and talked with someone about locations and what not. All in all we did not have a bad time, we made the most of our getaway, but maybe next time (if I come back to this location) I will call and talk with someone on the location of our room and details instead of trusting them to make the right decision when booking a room for 2 adults staying 3 nights. I do hope with the renovations they are doing, they also take a look at the shower heads and pillows! Thats my...
