Just have to give an updated review! We have been to lazy cloud several times now and absolutely love it there! Always something to look forward to.
Where to even start. We stayed at the Fontana location in the Tiffany Suite. I booked this trip out here months prior to celebrate my 10 year dating anniversary with my boyfriend. It was a surprise that I had planned for us so he had no idea. I requested rose petals in a specific shape and they made that happen. We were contemplating re-scheduling because of the safer at home mandate that was placed in March but we decided to still go. I am in the front lines in health care and he works a demanding job so we really needed the night to refresh and it was so refreshing. From the delicious chocolate strawberry's to the yummy sparkling wine to the hot tub, fire place, and just overall charm this place is a must stay at. We LOVED the scavenger hunt in the Tiffany Suite, this made the trip extra fun. Although it was thunder storming and heavy rain, it made the night just that much more perfect with the fire and Jacuzzi. The property seems super cute, can't wait to come back this summer to see everything alive and sit outside by their fire pit and play games! The room was clean, we felt safe. The staff was so responsive with emails throughout the whole process. We didn't want to leave and wanted to stay another night! We ordered carry out from harpoon willies which was fast and delicious as well. With all of the COVID19 stuff going on they obviously didn't have the buffet breakfast which was totally fine but they even put a nice plate together of fruits, pastry, mini cinnamon rolls, cheeses and yogurt, clemintines, orange juice and bottled waters that was left in the mini fridge. This place is so charming and adorable that I can't wait to go back. I loved looking back at all of the old books that were written in, they dated back to 1994, how cool!!! I will for sure recommend this place to all of my family and friends. Thank you lazy cloud staff for making each client feel like they are in a cozy little world for a...
Read moreI spent just under $700 for 2 nights for valentine's day for my wife and I. I went all out & wanted to surprise my wife with the rib dinner for 2, the game, flowers, champagne, chocolates , ect... Well the rib dinner for 2 was not worth $70, my wife and I came into the hotel room on our 1st night and found in the refrigerator what it looked like (Left over ribs from Walmart in some container) , dry shrimp in a bowl with cling-wrap, small amount of potato salad in a Rubbermaid container, their "world's famous sticky bun which looked weird with a hard boiled egg and orange came on a plate with cling-wrap, so our breakfast was already in the refrigerator for the next 2 days. Now I did not expect to pay $70 for this dinner and have to microwave it. The cheese plate is 3 balls of cheese and a small pack of crackers. The cheese cake was a complete mess and looked as if it was left out too long and melted. "We did not touch the food & it was left in the refrigerator". we were forced to order pizza on our 1st night, we went to a local restaurant for breakfast then we ate KFC on our 2nd night. The light above the sink kept flickering on and off, the TV would spike volumes at random times. The only thing that kinda saved the vacation...
Read moreWe have visited the Lazy Cloud Lodge twice in the past three months. We first stayed in the Stone Grotto room, and our most recent visit, we were in the Mossy Glen.
Diane has checked us in both times, and she is super sweet and helpful. Upon your first visit, she will accompany you to your suite and show you around. You are also greeted with a bottle of wine or champagne, and your choice of chocolate covered strawberries or caramel apple pie. The chocolate covered strawberries are amazing, btw! There are also bottles of orange juice and fresh pastries socked in the refrigerator, complimentary, for breakfast. You can't beat that!
The grounds are very well taken care of, and it's a beautiful property. The rooms are very clean and quiet, and overall it's a fantastic place to get away and spend some time with your significant other. I absolutely love the two-person whirlpool tubs!
I would highly recommend Lazy Cloud Lodge to anyone looking for a romantic getaway. It's also in close proximity to Lake Geneva, and downtown. Plenty of shopping just minutes away from the lodge. Also, you don't have to leave the room for food. There's a binder in each room with tons of local restaurants that deliver....
