We’re not fancy people, just need to have a clean and comfortable room after a long day hiking. The room was clean altno very outdated and the floor space was huge but the bathroom was so tiny the toilet was right up agains the door. Our main issue was the cooling system was awful and didn’t work at all to cool our hot room (we could feel heat coming from somewhere other than the super old fan set-up in the wall). The fan had instructions and actually told us we had to open our window if the cooling wasn’t working. The room was 80° and the cooling wasn’t working at all so we finally opened the windows but the highway was right outside our room and trucks were roaring by all night. For the cost of the room it was very frustrating. We heard the front desk tell another customer that they got the last room so we knew there wasn’t another room option. The bed was pretty comfortable and the breakfast options were decent. Also there was a weird 2nd floor elevator deal that took us to the second floor but then we had to go down steps and through another door to our room which wasn’t easy with all our luggage. We were tempted to just leave and ask for a refund due to our need to sleep but were too tired to drive home at night. We’ve been choice members for many years and have stayed at many choice hotels but many are not very quality and sadly may need to find a new chain

The room had a dirty smell, the carpet felt gritty like it was not vaccumed. All the tables had a sticky film, tub as well as toilet was dirty with hair and poop. The mirror frames had large chunks out of them, hanging lights with exposed wires, and several outlets not working along with old food behind the bed side take where nats were coming from. Staff did offer another room and when I saw that room it was the same. Front desk staff stated I was nit picking and my expectations were too high as this was a 3 star hotel not 5 and I didn’t pay hundreds of dollars for the room. She stated that it was normal wear and tear and no one is perfect when cleaning and people make mistakes. She compared the hotel imperfections to a private home stating that normal where and tear is inevitable and buying new items and upgrades of fixing problems is costly and they do their best. I left an hour after getting there and they refused to refund me. I had to go to a different hotel another 3 star hotel ( this one was amazing!!!! ) and was extremely pleased.

Our recent stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. The building itself is in poor condition, and the room service was even worse. We requested room service on the second day of our stay, but all they did was toss in some new towels without cleaning the room. (See attached photos for reference.) The free breakfast was a joke. They stopped refilling items an hour before the breakfast end time. When we asked for more bananas, the staff member brought out only two, despite there being 15-20 people in the breakfast area. During breakfast, a part of the roof fell off, and the debris was still on the floor the next day. (See attached photos for reference.) The gym is overcrowded with just three people using it at once. The entire hotel smells like food and oil from the attached Mexican restaurant. The smell hits you as soon as you enter and even clings to your clothes. The outdoor swimming pool seems to have been neglected since before the COVID-19 pandemic. It’s definitely not a suitable place for kids to swim.

My impressions from my late January 2022 stay: Clean (no roaches/bedbugs) and tidy. Maybe a tad dusty in hard to reach areas. Unfortuneatley my family was moved around almost every night we spent here (about 5 nights) but each room we went to was pretty clean, minus one room that had dried urine on the toilet seat. Sadly the bath tubs have textured bottoms and so the bottom always looked grey no matter how clean they were.

First night we were moved there was a problem with their hot water heater, then they moved us to a non-pet room and wanted to move us back to a pet-room, then there was yet another hot water issue. Overall, our problems were solved and if they weren't we were given complemntary nights (hence the longer stay). We stayed in the winter, so no comment on the pool. Breakfast is all premade, warmed up frozen omlettes, sausage, etc. Honestly, very salty or very surgary breakfast options with some lack-luster fruit options (green bananas every morning and low quality oranges/apples). They have joice for the morining. The complementary coffee wasn't bad. The little coffee maker doubled as a "kettle" to boil water for oatmeal. The microwaves were clean, the TVs were fine. Furniture was nice and not cheap/breaking down.

Sometimes there's issues with their keycards not working, I got locked out one night and had to walk all the way around the building. Apparently if you extend your stay you need new key cards because they'll expire at check-out time even if you've paid to stay longer.

Heating worked very well, the room was warm and the beds were comfortable. There's older reviews that say the beds are bad and I believe they've been replaced since then seeing that I was in 5 different rooms during my stay (all the rooms I stayed in were in the "F" wing).

Houskeeping was phenominal minus that one toilet seat issue, towels were always really clean, same with the bedsheets and pillowcases, and they were super helpful in picking up the trash my family genreated during our stay. If you do stay here, tip housekeeping at least 20%, they're deserving of much more.

There is a gentleman that works here in the mornings and handles the breakfast, he's very chatty and nosey and made me feel uncomfortable with the questions he was asking me. They were inappropriate questions and when I mentioned my spouse to get him to back off he wasn not deterred. I would suggest additional training for him. The front desk woman for during the daytime is absolutely amazing. Wonderful service from her. The nighttime front desk woman is nice.

If you stay here you have to try the resuraunt, Garcia's, absolutely delicious. It's also 3 minutes from any place you...

Absolutely nasty. This place should be shut down. It's out dates inside and out. The rooms aren't very clean especially the bathrooms. There is no fan or ventilation in the bathroom. Our bathroom tub wouldn't drain when starting a shower. We switched rooms and the new room was slightly better than the first. The wall AC units are old and loud. Being so close to the thruway kept us all up all night. Seems like a good part of this hotel isn't being used and some of the rooms seem like odd people live there. The smell of the hotel is terrible they had plug in Air freshener down the hallways on high and that gave me a headache and didn't help cover the old musty, smoky, greasy smell that's throughout the hotel. Breakfast was just as bad. Very poor quality food and items remained unfilled. The front desk staff was slow and not very friendly or inviting. I called prior to arriving to confirm something on my reservation and the phone rang 10-15 times with no answer. I had to call 5 times before someone answered the phone. Outside the property has been neglected overgrown bushes or dead landscaping. The lawn wasn't mowed. There were multiple shipping container parked in the back of the hotel. This place had a odd, uninviting feel, sketchy. Something is definitely off here. We saw maybe two employees the whole time we were there. This place is very overpriced for one night for the quality of it. It's dirty, dated and seems very unsafe.

I wish I could get a refund what a waste of money. DONT STAY HERE YOULL REGRET IT LIKE WE DO!! It seems like they are struggling to keep this place open doing the...
