Regency Inn — Hotel in Town of Hudson

my family and I were scheduled to stay for 5 days. First Impression...I knew i didn't want to stay. First off, the Gentleman at the front desk was RUDE. Hotel stunk of food and must. Hallway is dark and dirty. Room was large. BUT, furniture looked like it was gotten at garage sale. Fridge was nasty, food stuck all over the outside. Microwave was black inside, either food or dirt all over sides and bottom. Turntable was broken and replaced with a PLATE!! Windows were filthy!!! rubbed a kleenex over the window(by the way the DO NOT supply kleenex) it came off black! wonder if the "Housekeepers" know HOW to clean???!!!||Bed are saggy and nasty. Box springs are filthy. Only two pillows per bed and condition of the pillows are really bad. wondering whether we should sleep on the beds or not. The door has a huge gap between the door and door jam. My daughter stood on the outside the door and shook the handle and the whole door frame moved!!! Security is NOT guaranteed here! Within 10 mins after we checked in, we were checking around for another Hotel. Nothing is avaliable, but if we could find something we would be OUT! I think sleeping in our car looks...

Nervous upon arrival. Unfriendly person at front desk upon arrival,upon asking about the wifi, and upon asking for enough bath towels for 4 people for one night. The place is an unsafe dump! The two deadbolts on the door - one was missing and the other didn't work. The lock was missing on 2 of the 3 windows (our room was on the ground floor within two feet of parked cars) and the screen was half off and torn. It appeared someone had put a hole in the bathroom door so there was a 6x6 piece of plywood nailed on it. The bathroom only had spotty primer on it - not painted. So so on the cleanliness. We did look for bedbugs but didn't see evidence of them. The furniture REALLY needed upgrading - very worn and outdated. The breakfast provided the next day consisted of individual packaged pastry and muffin. The restaurant is attached to the hotel - I think they could have provided much better. If I had anything good to say about it... the carpet appeared to be newer and the air conditioning worked. So happy we only had to be there one night! ...

Don't look at the other reviews! This is actually a decent place. We stayed here on business and here's my very honest opinion...the check-in process is very easy. The room we had was honestly really nice! The mattresses are super comfortable, the AC worked wonderfully. The bathroom was very clean and the entirety of the room was full of the standard commodities (I e: hair dryer, cups, ice bucket, soaps, decent size mini fridge, and microwave)and honestly quite spacious. The staff is super friendly and are fast to assist with anything one could need. They unfortunately do not currently offer coffee but there are a couple of nice gas stations on each corner. My suggestions: offer a sitting/smoking area outside that's protected from rain (a simple table and chairs would suffice for a morning coffee drinker), offer cigarette butt receptacles at each entrance, and personally I feel like your motel is very deserving of a grander "motel entrance" sign as it is a lovely, quiet place to rest and refresh.
