Blue Spruce Inn & Suites — Hotel in Town of Kinderhook

The booking process was super easy and everyone I spoke to was very nice. We got in late, after 9pm and they left the key in a lock box. The instructions were very clear and it was easy to find my key and my room. The room was clean but there was a VERY strong musty, stuffy odor that seeped into the pillows and bed. Thankfully we brought our own pillows bc the pillows they had STUNK. We were able to open the window so that helped a little. The shower pressure was non existent. Thank God I didn't have to wash my hair. The tv was all static and the remote had no batteries. The beds were okay, but only good for 1 person. I shared the room with my husband and my brother. Obviously, I shared a queen bed with my husband and my brother had his own. My husband and I slept terribly. The bed didn't seem to be the size of a queen and it sank in the middle, causing us to constantly wake up and readjust. My brother said he slept great in his own bed.

Overall, it was $100 for 3 people and it wasn't terrible, but it was definitely not somewhere you'd want to stay for more...

Stayed here for one night this past week. Affordable and very conveniently located. A Dollar General Store a 2 minute walk away. Less than 2 minute drive is a CVS, Hannaford Supermarket, a liquor store and a Stewart's Gas station/convenience store. Just across the road there's a nice little Farmers market and a small distillery which we did not get to visit. ||The grounds and surrounding area very nice and well kept. Flowers and such abound including around the pool (very clean) . Huge grassy area out back to take your pooch for a walk if so inclined. Ours loved it though the resident squirrels and chipmunks did seem to take exception when she spotted them. ||Room (king bed) was large as was the bathroom. Shower was good. Nothing fancy but we had a microwave and fridge and a small flat screen TV. Bed itself was just ok. Everything was clean. ||All in a all a good choice if you're passing through or staying in the area a few days. Would have no hesitation going back which we...
