Malone Inn — Hotel in Town of Malone

Upon arrival later in the evening after a long day of travel, the owner/fellow at the front desk informs me that I have two rooms booked and I said no, I only have one. I made some changes months before and notified them - you can't cancel online, you have to email or call (huge pain). Anyhow, I informed him I did not have two reservations and he said yes I do and he argued with me and said that he would only cancel the one room if I paid more for my room for the three nights!!!! I was very upset about it and he didn't seem to care.

I went to the room and sorted through my emails, found the email where I sent it to him in May stating that I needed the one night cancelled because I made a second booking for three nights. This was in May!!!! So he has received that twice now and still refuses to give me my money back for what was HIS error.

That night there was some incredibly loud banging in the room beside me and I was kinda scared and being a lone female, I didn't want to leave the room for fear of what was going on so I called the motel office SIX TIMES and no answer, the calls just went unanswered and this was not that late, like around 9pm!!

I would NOT recommend this motel. The owner obviously screwed up and didn't do what I asked in the email and then charged me more every night, what a rip off!

I have emailed them and asked for a refund but of course, they refuse to respond.

Even while understanding this is a budget motel, our stay was abysmal. We were visiting friends in the area, and only needed a bed for the night. Unfortunately, the toilet was broken and unable to flush - imagine how fast you could fill a toilet after a day out drinking and enjoying the area's food 😳 We made it back to the room at midnight, and only then realized the toilet was broken. The room was "clean" but in such a state of disrepair that you could not get comfortable (loose bathroom tiles stuck to your feet). Almost everything inside the room needed updating.
