I have no idea where to start. First, the day before I arrived I notified the front desk woman that I will be arriving late Friday night. She told me that anytime after 4pm is alright and that I have until the next day for them to say that I was a no show. I thought it was weird that she didn't take down my name or confirmation # but I didn't question it. My bus was so late getting to NY that I arrived around 2 am. I try to check in and am told that my reservation is canceled + there are no rooms available for the time that I originally booked. Meaning that they canceled my reservations and gave it away to someone else. When I asked why, the male desk receptionist tells me that it was because I'm under 21. If this was the case why was I sent a confirmation email/text reminder the day before I checked in? Now, I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 21. So we asked if we could change the name on the reservations. We were not able to do that. THEN out of no where he was able to give us our original reservations... We were very thankful and wished him a good night just to wake up in the morning to be charged $100 more for the security deposit! The security deposit is only $50. When we talked to a different receptionist about this at check out he states that the reason our reservation was canceled was because we weren't here before 4pm and that I should've gotten a call before they canceled it. He completely disregarded the fact that our security deposit was $150 instead of $50. The ONLY reason why this hotel is getting 2 stars is because we were still given a room even though we were constantly lied to. Now, I remember every staff persons name that I encountered at this hotel but I'm choosing not to share them because at the end of the day I am not a nasty person. Read moreAll of the team members are always very nice, courteous, extremely professional, and friendly upon my arrivals. Despite, me typically arriving after 12:00 AM, they always provide me with a genuine smile and a very warm and welcoming demeanor- And not a, "Why are you there?" disposition. Upon my arrivals, they always get me quickly processed and checked-in. They are always happy to help and treat me as a valued customer and most of all as a human being.
Although, there are other Choice properties available, I will generally drive 30 - 40 minutes out of my way to come to this location because of their world-class customer service. In short, I have stayed at this property on more than seven occasions since my first stay where Sweba "Wowed Me" and earned me as a new customer. Honestly, this location offers simple, pest free, safe, quiet, comfortable, very clean rooms which have been recently remodeled with adequate living amenities. Best of all, there is no riffraff coupled with awesome customer service and an outstanding experience. Just as important, they have an awesome Nestle Coffee Machine that makes fabulous coffees beverages, hot chocolate, and tea. We needed a place in the area for a few days so wanted to save some money, and all around this was a great choice and clean place. Noise, sketchy characters & smells - things you normally fear with these types of places - weren’t really an issue
Pros: Very friendly staff Very convenient parking basically right outside your room because of multiple entrances Great location - literally at the intersection of 2 major roads and a highway that takes you everywhere (actually can be very confusing/dangerous to come out of the parking lot bc cars coming from every direction) Lots of places to eat or buy groceries right around the corner. Hicksville / Westbury is a good area Big fridge, works well. Microwave in room Can connect your personal youtube account to tv Upstairs rooms were renovated with nice wood floors Very good Nespresso coffee machine in lobby Desk & leather office chair Climate control works well (though may be loud for some)
