Let me start off by saying absolutely beware of this place! I will direct this review directly to the owner/manager who by this date has not set foot on that property since January 3rd (according to every staff member on site that I’ve spoken to) who will tell you he is out of town/sick/out of the country. On January 3rd I checked in with a friend late early that morning as not wanting to dive after an evening out. (I very much regret that decision). After checking in we went out the side door to smoke. My room was 101 directly behind the office. The night clerk M. Halli, who checked me in walked to the side door to Lear at us OUTSIDE smoking. I waved. We went back inside. In the morning I threw on my friends hoodie before I walked out I found a half of a broken (unsmoked cigarette) that was in the front pouch of the hoodie and tossed it in the trash as I went out the room door. As I got to the door I found the check out bill on the floor 129.99 plus all taxes. I left that on the table. I went outside and smoked part of a cigarette before grabbing something for breakfast which was pretty basic. The waffles were the best part the juice was severely watered down and not very good. The prepackaged yogurt was good tho. Not a soul at the front desk went I back to the room. After awhile my friend and I both went out the front door where we smoked part of a cigarette before deciding it was too cold and went to my car that was parked in the front lot. As we smoke in my car we decided we should get going as we both had things to do that day. I was taking my son back to North Carolina that evening and needed to pack. We again walked passed the front desk again no staff in site. Back in the room we grabbed our things and we walked out. As I walked by I dropped the key in the drop slot, again no staff in site. We went about our day. We left around 10am (although the clock in the room was set an hour ahead so we thought we were already late). Around noon I purchased breakfast for my son and found my bank account had been wiped out and was now in the negative! I was shocked and confused because I most certainly hadn’t spent the money! After checking my bank account I found the hotel had charged me 250.00 for smoking in the room. Knowing full well we froze outside while we smoked not warm and cozy in the room. As I called the hotel frantic as I no longer had the money to drive my son home after Christmas. I was cheerily informed by the woman who answered the door That I had absolutely smoked in the room and no manager was on duty and would not be back until April and then she proceeded to hang up on me. I called back again, insisting that we absolutely did not smoke in the And they had absolutely no Proof as it didn’t occur. With a very cheerful and condescending voice, she again informed me that I would not be getting my money back and hung up on me again. I called one more time informed the young lady that I was coming back to the hotel and they were going to issue a refund. I hung up when I arrived at the hotel and I walked in the front door. The desk clerk was on the phone with 911. Informing Dispatch did I was in the lobby and she smiled at me from the office as I waited for the police to show up I had to go to the gas station to buy a lighter and I pulled back into the hotel parking lot and I sat there and realized I really needed some gas cause it was freezing outside and to leave my car running. I needed gas so I drove back to the gas station, which shares the same parking lot And when I pulled back to the hotel parking lot, I see the front desk, clerk pull around the other side of the parking lot. The clerk had followed me to the gas station. The same clerk who just informed 911 that I was threatening her left her hotel unattended because there’s no manager on duty to follow the person that she’s terrified of the gas station, and as she walked from her car to the hotel, she just smiled at me. So from January 3 until today, February 19, I’ve been unable to speak to a manager or owner Maybe a manager will...

Ron Brogdale 1/5 5 hours ago on Google First of all my friends and I have been staying here for years in the winter as we are avid snowmobilers .Nice hotel the trails are across the road and a nice gas station with non ethanol gas next door with anything you can imagine to eat or drink great place! We walk into the hotel and rang the bell. An employee comes to the counter we can’t understand, not very good English, but we got the room showing the credit card we used to book it online. Proceed to the room it was freezing the heat was shut off so I turned it on.Go turn the light in between the beds and nothing.Clock radio unplugged someone unscrewed the two lightbulbs.Bed was very comfortable but then in the middle of the night I heard dogs barking in a room not far from us.Then the breakfast room in the morning was freezing and understand the whole COVID thing but nothing like it used to be.Yes there was coffee, juice, yogurt, bear claw danish and Jimmy dean breakfast sandwich’s to microwave. They took out the waffle maker,Fresh eggs, home fries, sausage, bacon, toaster and no fruit anymore. There are other ways to provide safe food it was very disappointing and clearly a cost saving measure. I gotta say it’s under new management, owners idk .Also After coming here for years and always have checked in early to change our clothes for snowmobiling they would accommodate us. This year they have as well till last weekend the decide to charge us $25.00 for early check in.Needless to say we...
Read moreMy flight before a NYC surgery, my flight was cancelled so I rented a car to drive the 5 hours on a sleety night 5/2/23. Slipped into a mile marker on US81 and airbag deployed/car stopped. Trooper took me to the closest motel, the QI/Tully, where I had just made an online reservation. No one was at the front desk or came. I rang the bell, called front desk, then called QI hdqrs, and they tried calling— no answer. I resigned myself to sleeping on their lobby couch, but after an hour wait—I thought to check the door of the first room behind the desk. No answer. Then out flew a red eyed disheveled man and raged at me. After I explained my situation, including my online reservation, he told me to call a taxi and get out of his hotel, then disappeared back into the first room. I called the trooper who gave me a taxi number to call and a motel to go to next. It was like a traumatizing nightmare, having an accident, then this man.acting menacing in a way that resembled domestic violence. I think he was either drunk or was having a REM stage nightmare. (I am a forensic physician and have heard of bizarre somnambulist behaviors). Hopefully he does not terrorize...
