Northstar Cross-Country, Telemark, and Snowshoe Center — Hotel in Truckee

Didn't cross country ski but did downhill. Conditions were good. Only problem encountered was on the back side of the mt. Mgt didn't plan ahead. Huge lift line at Backside lift. At 10:40, the 2 lift operators at Promised Land were working furiously to get the lift operating. Between slow blowing the entrance ramp and cleaning off all of the 150+ chairs of the foot or more of snow on the benches and backs, it took them 45 minutes to get the lift ready which meant we did not get up onto the mountain until 11:15. With all the snow they've had, and, this being Martin Luther King weekend, management should have had them there earlier in the morning making sure both lifts were ready to operate when the mountain...
