Villas at Northstar — Hotel in Truckee

Having stayed before at the village this was much different! Got a studio room with full kitchen, was cozy and warm, here what we liked and didn’t like. Liked: -Lower price compared to in-village lodging -Plenty of parking (village parking very limited) -Short 5 minutes hike to village Didn’t Like: -No elevator in these “Villas” you have to lift your luggage 2-3 stories up the tight stairs -Icy hike to village is not for everyone! The “walk path” they claim doesn’t really exist! -Worn furnishing poorly maintained for the high tag price paid -Got solicitation phone calls from At&t and others into hotel room trying to sell me stuff.. -Maid service not included, you can get it separately if you wish to pay extra Bottom line: if it wasn’t for the price this would be 1-star or less! but if you want something close to the village and don’t mind the above, then this might work for you and help you...

Got here Friday evening, booked on Airbnb and hoped for a nice BBQ evening with friends. After 20 minutes the gas in the barbeque finished and there is no one to fix this problem at 10 p.m. in the evening. There is no extra tank, no possibility to drive anywhere to meet the staff. Offered solution - 25$ refund. Total value of steak meat for tonight - 150$. What disappointed me the most is that there is no one at the property in the evening, not a single person from Vacasa, if you have a problem, you are on your own, they do not care. I hope I could give a zero start if possible. The lock was not working and we didn’t get any help after hour. The front desk was extremely cold to our situation and pushed the problem to her “supervisor”.
