In winter, resort guests enjoy skiing and The Village's outdoor ice skating rink, so we were thrilled to discover a summertime activity that was fun and actually interesting to our difficult to please teenagers (you know what I'm talking about). Timbercreek Studio, subpar for the cost. Hardly any silverware, a shower head too high and could not adjust lower. A toilet that is not mounted securely to un even tile. A fan in the bed area that doesn't work. To my surprise and thankfully my family and I were moved to a two bedroom in Gold Bend. Unfortunately, at 830 am in the morning, a contractor started banging below our porch on trim wood that was coming out. I told him to stop and come back after 12 pm. My son was sleeping. Last day, the clean-up crew tried to come in at 830 am. Thank God for the chain we had connected to keep anyone from walking in. In the summer, many of the restaurants and stores were closed. Prices were very high for food and drinks. I guess it's a resort and yes you pay more. Ribucon restraunt was good. Enjoyed the pasta and pizza dishes. The last time I was here in 2014, the cost to use the recreation center wasn't $10 a person or $25 for a gondola ride up the mountain. I loved the location, close to Truckee and Lake Tahoe. It has now been a week and a half since Northstar Lodging has failed to address and reimburse me for my stay after contracting a bacterial infection from their hot tub. This is spa-pool folliculitis, and I guarantee others are contracting it as well. I am STILL dealing with this infection and have spent a ton of money on different creams, medications, and seeing my doctor. If I am spending so much money at the resort I expect to not deal with stuff like this. The fact that no one will take responsibility and compensate us is absolutely bizarre and ridiculous to me. I can’t count how many people I’ve been passed around to on the phone and every single person says to call someone different.
