We were bitten by bed bugs which I had never seen before. We stayed for 6 days. The first day there were contact lenses on the floor in front of the sink. The second day I saw a bed bug and got rid of it thinking it was a roach or an outside bug.
The next night I woke up feeling a bug on the back of my neck. I found it and got rid of it. Still believing maybe it was a bug from outside I tried not to complain. I did mention the contacts and that the room wasn’t clean.
We are a group of 3 rooms and 5 people total. We were filming in Tulsa. The last night I woke up feeling a bug on my face. I found it on my pillow case. It moved into the crevices but I caught the bug in an empty water bottle.
I told Tera and gave her the bottle with what I now understood to be a bed bug. She immediately offered points and I appreciated the gesture. However, we are in severe pain. My brother spent his birthday today itching with raised bumps. The bed bugs can scar your skin and he has two on his face. He’s an actor.
We both have painful itchy bumps in clusters of 1-3 on our arms and back as well as our faces and the back of my neck.
The worst part was that I called Tera the manager and she was rude. She immediately told me she gave me points when I asked for a refund. I told her I would have to treat my large square foot home and it could cost up to x thousand dollars. This is NOT OK. We found pretzels under the couch. It was dirty. Now we are in pain. We are filming this Sunday and Monday. Austin, my brother has a press conference and he has to cancel it because the bites on his face have become infected.
Tera hung up on me. The manager hung up on me. It infuriated me. She basically told me there wasn’t any signs of bugs although I gave her the bed bug in a bottle after we got the the bedbug to let go of the duvet.
The breakfast servers were broken. The milk you pour from a pitcher was clotted.
The clerks are amazing. Tera is unprofessional and uncaring. She admitted having untrained housekeepers and wasn’t willing to comprehend we are hurt. We paid x for 6 days for our rooms and we are damaged now. My home will need to be treated and Austin will need antibiotic ointment on his face. He will miss...
Read moreLove the service 100%, love the hotel and how everything looks so new. I stayed in three rooms altogether. Room 300, 320, and 322.
Room 300 Was probably the best room with the best view. I like how the P-tack units on the wall were controlled by a separate thermostat but room 300 and 322 both still had the old units that you had to control the fan separate from the fan switch on the thermostat.
Room 320 was great because it had the best shower head. They seem like all the same shower heads but this room sprayed different. We did have one issue with the thermostat messing up and not letting the wall unit heat out room on my last night.
That’s when we were moved to room 322. This room was much like 300 but the maintenance person installed the thermostat with the hole from the old thermostat still showing. That’s not good practice. They should be given the time or resources to make it look like new other wise don’t do it at all. Last, room 320’s blinds were busted. Someone had pulled them off the track before we got there. We didn’t mention this issue because we didn’t see it till morning of leaving.
The breakfast, this was disheartening. We should be able to grab our own food for “safety”. asking someone else to touch our food before we eat it, for the soul purpose of us standing two feet further from the food is ludicrous. Nothing makes sense.
The over-the-top friendly staff made up way more than the lack of critical thinking by the “hot shots” that are making the rules behind...
Read moreFirst let me start by saying I'm not one leave reviews. However after my email to the manager, multiple phone calls to the front desk, and multiple messages left for the general manager have gone unanswered I'm resorting to leaving a review. We arrived at the hotel for a weekend ladies trip and checked in. Everything went smoothly until we arrived in our room. After checking the beds and around the beds to make sure everything was clean I found eveidence of bed bugs along with blood on the bed skirt. The pictures attached clearly show what was found. I alerted the front desk and requested a room change. The lady at the front desk asked me if it could just be a stain and if I was ok with that. NO it's not just a stain and NO this isn't ok. They moved us to another room; right next door to the original room. This room was a cleaner but had a musty stench. Upon checkout I asked the front desk if anything could be done to compensate for the chaos and was told that I would need to call Monday to speak with the manager. After speaking with the manager who passed me off the the general manager there is still no resolution to this problem. As a customer who stays at MULTIPLE IHG hotels I WOULD NOT recommend staying here. Customer service is below standard, and this hotel is NOT clean. If you have stayed here I would suggest checking your luggage to make sure there is no evidence of bed bug eggs, or bed bugs. Please do yourself a favor and check out the...
