Ali Baba, âThe Thiefâ
It has been over 5 years since my wife and I had lunch at the Ali Baba Mediterranean Grill. We had always enjoyed the food and service. Noticeable, a little redecorating has happened since then, both with the décor and the prices. I swear that the prices have doubled since 2018 our first visit. Fairly and appropriately up due to inflation. So significantly higher that instead of the platter we always had, we went with the more economical Chicken Shawarma sandwich. Tabouli and hummus for the sides. The sandwiches were filling. Packed with chicken and fresh salad. The pita on the sandwich and the squares for dipping were a little stale. Tabouli average and mild, but rich nutty flavored, thick hummus very good. A heavy peppering with ground sumac always brightens up the hummus and the sandwich; well, any Mediterranean food for that matter. (Sumac, yes, the same stuff that grows on the roadsides in Oklahoma.) Always ask for it.
Something I forgot about, the Cardamon Iced tea. This is a refreshing, tasty drink. Ali Babaâs is one of the very few Mediterranean restaurants that serves it. Try it if you havenât

For the price I was expecting far better quality of meat. I pulled up the menu from their website and ordered three dinners for my work party. The first was supposed to be a beef kabob and a filet mignon kabob. What I got was a beef and chicken kabob. Both of which were burnt. The second platter was a simple two chicken kabob, but they too were burnt. Neither came with the salad and grilled vegetables that is printed in the menu. My last platter was a Mediterranean platter. No cabbage roll, no stuffed grape leaf, no salad, no vegetables... again the meat was burnt. I went inside after inspecting my order and was told that their online menu was thirteen years old. I just didn't have the time to argue. Please save your money and time. The fact that they have so many positive reviews is very fishy to me. They must have recently...

Never has there been a new place that lasted more then a couple months...some reason they always vanish idk why. But guess what Ali Baba still there and standing strong.
Thank you for the great food always cuz I stricly eat halal only and sir you have always come thru with it....scrumptious chicken and rice. Over the past couple years I noticed a little taste difference but I understand you gotta cater to everyone's tastes and not just one person's.
Some might say its A little expensive for halal food but trust me guys its worth it. Always cooks throughly unlike a few places that have closed now.
