UPDATE FROM PREVIOUS REVIEW (BELOW): After posting the review below two weeks ago Red Lobster corporate responded quickly to address the situation. Kudos to RL for doing so. However, we visited the same RL this evening for the All-You-Can-Eat Shrimp dinner and had another negative experience. The food was great, that is, when we finally received it. We were seated 10 minutes before a server even acknowledged us and then waited another 9 minutes to get our beverages. We placed our shrimp dinner orders and received them about 15 minutes later from a helper (not our server). Our beverages needed refilled but, again, didn't see our server. We wanted to order more from the All-You-Can-Eat menu but no one came to take our order. Therefore, we finally decided we'd had enough of the bad service and paid the check. Upon leaving, I mentioned all of the above to the manager on duty. She stated that "corporate" began a new program yesterday that requires their servers to work more tables. She informed us our server was assigned eight of them while we were there, and we were just one of them. I expressed my concern that this program is horrible, not only for the customers but also for the servers. Our server (the few times we saw her) was very friendly. Nonetheless, she wasn't accessible. Therefore, my rating is going to remain as is. The only reason I'm not downgrading it to just 1 Star is because of the company's response to my original complaint. This is two out of two visits at the 51st Street location and twice I've had the opportunity to speak with the manager there who happened to be the same person. All she knows how to do is to pass the blame on to "corporate" and say "sorry". The experience I've had with her shows she doesn't care much about her customers or hasn't been trained to deal with issues arising with them. So, it is my opinion that if good customer service is important to you go elsewhere. I am not able to recommend RL at this time.
DISCLAIMER: I'm honored to be a Top 10 Reviewer for Google. I do my best to be fair and honest but realize your experience may differ from mine. So, please keep that in mind when considering this restaurant, establishment, and/or venue. REVIEW: We arrived at 5:00pm and had a 20 minute wait to be seated, which was not bad for a weekend night. My husband ordered the 2-Maine Lobster dinner that comes with two sides chosing a Caesar Salad (listed as a side) and a baked potato (also listed as a side). I had the Shrimp Scampi dinner that comes with two sides chosing a Caesar Salad (again, listed as a side option) and rice (also listed as a side). The food was good. However, we were given only two of their great biscuits and had to ask for additional biscuits and beverage refills throughout our meal. When we received the meal ticket, we saw where we were charged $1.99 x 2 for the Caesar Salads. When we questioned the additional charge for the two side salads we were told that even though the Caesar Salad is considered as one of your two choice side options, there is an upcharge of $1.99 to do so. It is not clear on the menu and the server did not mention that there would be an upcharge. When a female manager(?) stopped by our table to ask how our meal was I explained the ticket situation to her. All she stated was that she does not agree with the upcharge and "sorry". Wow. I was not too excited that we were charged additionally for items listed as side choices or that management did not seem to care. I suggested they train their staff to point out the "extra" charges that are not plainly visible on their menus to customers. Allow me to interject here that it is never about the amount of the error and/or discrepancy to me but rather the principle; i.e., there is nothing more negative to me than to feel like a restaurant is sneeky and/or not transparent enough about their prices for them to be clear. Therefore, I am not giving a very positive review of our experience at this Red Lobster today because this is absolutely one of...

Have you ever been asked to vacate your table at a restaurant because they are busy and need the table for the next party???
Thursday, November 11th, was my "birthday celebration" with our older friends of whom we haven't seen in over a year. My husband and I got there earlier than the others, and while we waited, our server was kind enough to serve us some warm biscuits. We unwrapped our silverware to find grease spots on all of them, especially the knives, where the metal meets the handle. We unwrapped the rest of the silverware on our table and they were all grease-ridden. My husband asked another server for replacements and we were given 2 sets, which were even worse than the others. The napkin used to wrap the silverware was filthy!!! We asked our server for clean silverware and although it took her a while, she delivered! The rest of our party arrived. We ordered our food, visited, ate while we visited some more. Our table for 6 was not rowdy by any means. We were all "old" after all. A few minutes after our table was cleared, and the check was handled, we were asked to leave because they had a larger party waiting to be seated. Although the hostess was very apologetic, we didn't know how to react to such boldness! We had no words! I suppose we were all shocked? As we were all getting up to leave, the hostess apologized again and again and slapped 2 $10.00 gift cards on our table. One of our guests reached for it and gave them to my husband. I turned 60, and was the youngest in that group. In all my life, I have never been asked to leave a restaurant!! Will I go back to Red Lobster? Probably not. If I were to go back, it will not be that particular restaurant on 51st St., Tulsa. Will I ever forget the...
Read moreI went in for my birthday, which I have done for the last 30 years. This will be the last time I go.
We were seated immediately and were given our water...no biscuits. Wait staff walked passed us for 20 mins before we over heard two discussing if anyone knows we were there. I guess they sat us at a table that wasn't assigned to anyone. Finally biscuits!!!
I ordered a tall Modelo and the dual lobsters tails and a side of crab legs and mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. My friend ordered a Pina colada and 3 types of shrimp. And we got coconut shrimp to start. Food took forever to get out. Almost 40 mins. The place was not busy so I didn't understand the wait. The food finally came out the coconut shrimp came out 5 mins before our main food. The lobster tails were disappointing. They were small and overcooked. Most of the plate was mashed potatoes and a large bowl UNDERfilled with Mac and cheese. I took off the bowl of Mac and cheese and sent the lobster tails back. My friends food was cold except for the shrimp scampi (I assume it was the last thing they put on the plate as everything else got cold).
The manager came over and said that he could redo the lobsters but they were going to more likely be the same. So I declined the reorder. I finished my half pound of crab legs and the Mac and cheese. My friend only ate the shrimp scampi and the coconut shrimp. They took my dual lobster tails off my bill but the bill was still $80.
So I will not be going back to Red Lobster...any Red Lobster! The food quality has gotten worse over the years and the price is only getting higher. But they do load you up on biscuits and mashed potatoes.
So this is the end of a 30 year tradition...Happy Birthday to me!
Update: Red Lobster has contacted me and have...
