Do not stay here. I wish I could give it zero stars. We checked in, made it to our room, warily, walking past transients in the dark/narrow stairway then down the narrow landing. Inside the room was nasty. I've stayed in seedy places before and everything in my soul was telling me to GET OUT. There was no screen on the filthy window and it was open to the walkway outside. I tried to close it, and it wouldn't even close, much less lock (the latches were broken off). There were ahem transactions of several sorts taking place in the parking lot. The window to the office was smashed and broken. I was asked for money TWICE by people on the walkway to the room. There were liquor and beer bottles on the shared landing from where, I don't know. It was not safe. I cannot stress that enough. Not even to mention the nastiness. There was "something" on the bed skirt and side tables. Just no. And again, I've stayed in seedy hotels before. Did NOT STAY here. There was zero upkeep to the outside of the building either. A car had clearly bashed into the side of the building on our side, but there were people still in rooms above it and loitering about below. Obvious transient's shopping carts in front of the lobby, there were weeds growing everywhere, glass in the parking lot, people milling about our car when we were in our room, etc. It is NOT what it speaks to be on the website. We left. We didn't even ask for a refund. Just noped right on outta there. I could go on and on, but I think you get the picture. We initially chose it because of the location, close to where we were going to need to be, and the price seemed right and it looked fine on the website. Very misleading. We went and got a room near the airport and were happy to feel safe, even though it was further from where we...
Read moreEverything was sticky, dirty, and there was a smell of mold, dirt and sweat. There was a hole in the ceiling, and it was "plugged" up with a rag. In the night, it started storming, and the rag started dripping. The bathroom door was broken, and wouldn't close properly. There were multiple light switches that were missing covers, thus exposing wires. The bed had trash and dirt on it, and the crown molding had dirt and sludge caked onto it. The artwork in the room had stickers all over it, as well. The parking lot is riddled with craters, and there is a large homeless population near. The homeless situation isn't controlled by the hotel, but the "security guard" can be. He had no markings or insignia on his clothing stating he was security, and he was threatening a homeless man with a baton. The tenants there were sketch, and made going to and from anywhere unnerving. Our direct neighbor was blaring loud rap music all night, and didn't turn it down at all. There were multiple sections outside our room that had hanging and exposed wires, as well as broken fixtures, outlets, etc. This hotel is not worth your time, and not worth your money. They charged us over $150.00 for one night, because the PGA was in town. Regular price is $51. That should be illegal. The pictures make it look like a swanky hotel with lots of amenities. This is false advertising, and I have photographs confirming the state of the room. The front desk clerk told me the hole in the ceiling was fine, and didn't seem like he cared.
Overall, this hotel needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. I will be seeking a full refund.
0/5 stars. Avoid...
Read moreI'll update when we leave on the 30th, if we're not extorted or kicked out over this review. My roommate and I were given a nasty, dirty room. No hot water the first night and when I complained, the man laughed and said it's summer and I don't need hot water. We were not made aware of the visitor a policy, until after we had visitors and they demanded money. Later, I had an emergency come up and left the girl that was helping me put stuff on marketplace, in the room a few hours. She's just gotten a tattoo and her artist wanted to see how it was healing and supposedly came over for a cigarette and to look at her tat. The manager came by, said she saw them but didn't take a picture coming out of my room. Well sorry, but I trust r my friend far more than the manager and believe the tattoo artist was never in the room, just the visitor. So 9:45 pm rolls around, my emergency ends an I come back to lay the $20 quotes to me for an extra guest for the day/night. I called and rang the bell for a while until I had to go get my roommate. we came hacckancesnccfhecbell, she finally answered. I waswxtieted $40 and when i tried to ask what it was about, she went back on what she said this morning (not yesterday) and charged us $40 for access to our room, property, my medical service dog and his petmni shudder to think she would have happensd to my dog,, if she's taken more than I had. That 40 was going to gas and dog food, and any left over would have fed me. So now, my roommate loses his job bc I have no gas money, my service dog stays hungry and I don't eat at all. Thank you, ma'am off your...
