Quite a nice place, no cockroaches as some have stated, we had a king size room and it was well taken care of. We came in the winter so not many people were in the rooms near by, the walls are medium to thin so you can hear coughing and talking from time to time. The stay was for three weeks so we got to experience the best and worst of the location.
Despite what Google says there aren't any kitchens in any of the rooms, they have a mini fridge and microwave. The water is a little hard, if you have a water filter it helps. Our ZERO water filter meter gives 650 when we tested. The WiFi is shared on a single Router without VLAN isolation so if there are malicious users they CAN sniff your data so stay safe. On average the speed is 9Mbps down and 9.5Mbps up with about 5 drop outs per day.
Unfortunately, they didn't have any non-smoking rooms available so we bombed ours with incense to mask the smell. I'm giving it a 4/5 because every machine in the room makes a horribly loud noise. Bring earplugs because the fridge, A/C, Microwave, and Air vent in the bathroom rattle terribly when used. The noise they generate does help cover the sound coming from the interstate near by. There are many tractor trailers that go by because of the truck stop so they work like a white noise generator.
The TV mount and table legs were loose but we had a wrench to tighten them up so no problem there. There are many power outlets available but half of them are used by something so a power strip or extension cord will help. The beds are extremely firm so if that is an issue bring a memory foam cover.
You get what you pay for and for $300 a week there's not much to...
Read moreI am a contractor CONSTANTLY on the road. I get paid a per diem for my lodging so I am always on the lookout for clean ,quiet ,affordable hotels. The Royal Pines Inn is a contractors dream. It is not the Four Seasons ,but it has a very clean and spacious room for one or two people, the bathroom is very clean and looks freshly remodeled. The is as comfortable as the one I have at home. It has a refrigerator and microwave not brand new top of line but work just fine. There is a desk and office chair in the room which is great for paperwork and computer work. It has a nice flat as creen TV on a wall mount so you can watch at desk or the bed. Another plus is curtains close completely which is nice. Outside is newly remodeled vinyl siding and looks very good. It has snowed twice since ive been here and they quickly plow the lot. The price is unbeatable when you pay bythe week. I would recommend this motel to anyone, especially contractors who need a nice low cost...
Read moreI have stayed in this Motel once or twice a year in the past 10 years. It used to be a little gem and a great value. It is sad to say that I will not be staying there anymore. This is mainly due to managements lack of concern for this property. The room I stayed in had a few issues. The biggest issue was how foul the water smelt. I had a shower and couldn't wait to shower somewhere else. My wife would not shower there. I tried to call the front desk to complain. Attached a picture of toiler and no, that's not pee. No answer. Hmmm That's because you have to call direct to the hotel next door. When I complained upon check out, no offer of any compensation. Even after calling the manager a few days later... nothing. Why should anyone have to pay for a room that you...
