UPDATEI won't edit my original 3 star review below that contains facts and my opinion, but after reading the owner's response basically calling me a liar I need to add a couple things. 1. Their prices are much higher than retail. That's a FACT. Examples-2.99 for one soda, many at Menards, Fleet Farm, Walmart, etc for less. 4.99 for one bottle of Clearly Canadian (you can get these at Target for less than half that). Mars bars at Menards are a dollar something. Kismit charges 3.97. Astro pops were 5 dollars! Saw them at the state fair for 1.50 this week. Lots of other things like this here. And I'm sorry, but Jim's Apple Farm (the huge yellow barn in Jordan, Mn. is 10 times the size of this store and has an insane amount of candy. The Kismit's selection MIGHT fill part of the yellow barn's newest addition, but I even doubt that. I get upping prices for the experience, and as mentioned I spent $56 on the little shown in my picture because it's fun to shop places like this. But don't take honest customer reviews and make the people look/sound stupid when they write their opinions and actual correct information. We did have fun here but now we won't be back
Cute little store. We usually make the trip to the huge candy store down in Jordan every year but since we won't get to go there this year we stopped at the Sweetly Kismet store today. It's much smaller than the big yellow barn, but still a nice variety. Prices are quite high here though. Only got a few candy bars and 4 sodas...
Read moreI was traveling with my teenage son the way up north for a vacation. We had been in the car multiple hoursâŚ..ready for a break. I saw a sign advertising this place. Wasnât sure we could find it, but then there was another sign just before the exit. Itâs just past the Kwik Trip turn off. Very close off the highway, so you wonât loose much travel time. Not at all what I was expecting! This was a great stop. So many options. I found chocolate cover coffee beans and regular brew coffee for my hubby & a friend. Dog treats for my dog! Gummyâs galore, cotton candy for one teen and lots of unique kinds that were fun to nibble on. Itâs super clean inside, organized and even have fun photo options, like the basket from a hot air balloon. Itâs a fun, delicious stop with something for everyone. I spent about what I would to fill my tank with gas. More than I anticipated when we drove up. But they have such an amazing variety of products and itâs displayed like a fruit stand, all at eye level. It just makes you want to try it all. I love the individual packages, of bulk candy they make. It lets you try things, but not to be eating it forever. Now that we know itâs here- it will be a must stop âbreakâ...
Read moreThis candy store is so nice and spaced out. Always has a great variety of local and non-local treats. This was the perfect place to get some treats for my relatives who live out of state and never been to Minnesota. I've never had mini donut soda before but I don't think I've ever seen something that screamed more Minnesota than that đ .
I give 2 stars because I got one of the mystery bags that are up by the front counter, and 2 of my candies are expired. Like super expired. It is currently July, and one expired in March of 2022 and the other expired May of 2022. It's quite disappointing because I was really excited to get the mystery bag. Their jelly candies don't have expiration dates on them, so it kinda makes me wonder how old those are. Ours seem to still be good though.
*update, I realize that I forgot to change the 4 stars to 2 stars. In response to the owner. I was originally going to give 4 stars until I realized how expired 2 of my candies were. But thank you...
