Update 9/2/2025: The call to their service center on 8/25 promised to callback within 2 days. There's still no follow up, despite their response to this review.
This place is a scam. DO NOT GO HERE!!!
previous experience below. 8/25. Expedia came back and said if I give them a name from someone with whom I spoke with at the hotel they’ll reach out again. I provided three names. Expedia came back and said they couldn’t get anyone to talk to them.
8/27. I called the hotel and got their corporate answering service. Lots of press 1 for this press 2 for that. Get this. They have an option for if you want your refund status!!! Finally talked to someone who said she will escalate, but will need to confirm with the hotel, and will call back in a couple of days.
So the hotel and Expedia are both just playing off of each other. The hotel front desk manager never sent a note or their corporate office claims not having received it.
And they won’t answer calls from Expedia so Expedia won’t issue a refund even though the frontdesk staff said they would issue full refund.
This is a scam by the hotel and Expedia. Don’t expect Expedia to help. All they said was they couldn’t get in touch with the property.
8/21 checked in 12:30am. Sunflower seed peels in front of check in counter. Two people folding bath towels as we walked into the front door on a table that was part of the dining area where breakfast was to be served. First room Rm314 was not cleaned. Trash on floor. Used towels everywhere. Bed not made. Nathan at front desk gave me 317. As we walked up, four people with cleaning tools and supplies were leaving. No shampoo except a half used individual sized shampoo. Called to get shampoo and conditioners delivered to the room No sheet underneath the blanket between bed sheet and blanket. So the blanket was just flipped over. Called to get new sheets to put on the bed ourselves. Dead fly on the floor. Live bug ran across the bathroom floor. Kitchen floor stuck to bottom of shoes. No paper towels in the full kitchen. Black ring inside the bath tub. Grey water marks behind towel rack above toilet. 9am on 8/21, contacted Expedia to ask for refund. They called for half an hr and no one answered. Morning staff claimed Expedia called corporate office. Requested refund with morning staff again. Names are Sourage and Admidth. Admidth promised he had asked corporate to issue...
Read moreWe stayed here for our daughters swim meet. We booked and paid in advance online through a third-party service, as that is the best way to get a decent price on rooms. When checking in, there was some confusion with the front desk people, and check-in was a pretty slow process. They made us put a $100 EXTRA hold on our credit card!! And said they needed a state ID for us to stay there. There are signs up all over the front desk that say they don't take cash AT ALL and NO Prepaid Card. I didn't ask about debit cards. Our room was nice and clean with a balcony looking out on the quad, but it definitely needed to be updated. The beds were fulls (NOT QUEENS), The toilet was odd (crooked and super low to the ground) and the base is cracked, and when we took showered the carpeted floor outside of the bathroom would get wet. The TV was an old 32" TV on an old dresser that was worn, with 2 drawers to which the bottom drawer was stuck closed. The hotel has quite a few amenities which include a hot breakfast, a bar, lotto machines, a snack shop, a heated pool with lanes, a party room for kids party's, a conference room, a business center, an arcade area, a laundry room, and vending machines for drinks and snacks. (No hot tub, though) They have plenty of parking and a large enough lot for semi's. The hot breakfast was just ok. It was edible. They had warm pancakes, eggs, sausage patties, yogurt, fruit (Strawberries), apples, bananas, 3 types of cold cereal, bagels, cinnamon rolls, instant coffee, ice water, orange juice, and milk. (No microwave) They did have a toaster. It was freezing cold in the breakfast area. There was cold air pouring in through the vents, but the rooms temp was fine. Overall, it was mid. We have stayed in better hotels and left worse hotels. There were definitely some things that could have made out experience more pleasant: 1) For the hot food to taste better. 2) Add a microwave. 3) If it is too cold outside and the heater isn't keeping up, either shut it off or close the vents that are pouring cold air on your guests. 4) Better customer service skills when addressing a guest whose room is...

Location is quite good with convenient bus lines to campus (direct ones take usually about 15~20 minutes, with non-direct ones just 1 transit stop away) with several businesses near the hotel within a 10-minute walking distance. The center of campus is just a 10-minute drive away in a car if you are driving.
Room's cleanliness is a bit lacking as bedsheets had a couple of stains and floor wasn't vacuumed. Housekeeping is also on request (they will not clean even if you spent several days or a week there, you will need to ask for cleaning if desired) and so is toiletry/towel restocking, so you need to go to the front desk to secure those.
The room's furniture itself is good as it comes with a desk/wheeled chair, fridge, microwave, safe, drawer, and a TV. AC/heating is a wall-mounted unit that is manually controlled by each room. The walls, however, are quite thin (nearing room's conversations and TV is quite noticeable, more so if there are people talking in the hallway or dogs barking), so light sleepers should be aware.
Complementary breakfast is quite limited in option with no fruits/vegetable at least half the time, with only scrambled eggs, sausage patties, and tater tots/french fries being available. Other options are a small muffin, a loaf of sliced bread, or cereal with pancake/biscuit combination rotated every other day.
The hotel also does come with a decently sized pool and a small gym as well.
Price point is reasonable at $85 a night for early/mid-August period. Various booking platforms may differ in price significantly even for the same room/same season. I would recommend for extended-stayers (in between leases, etc.), casual travelers usually outside the room outside of sleeping, and budget-conscious travelers.
More frequent and thorough housekeeping will greatly improve this hotel, and a slight change in the complimentary breakfast will also be nice (although it is free, so limited options are to...
