Rica Motel — Hotel in Valley

Place isn't really bad. Rooms are out dated and they really should lose the carpet, the carpet is their worst enemy. Customer service is good. The guy who checked me in was great and really seems to care about the place and customers. They're just people trying to survive like the rest of us. Their motel should be given a chance, I believe they are working hard to keep their place up. Having said that.... please beware that you are at risk for being exposed to bed bugs. It does not matter if you're staying here or the holiday Inn. It's a fact of life. America has bed bugs. Just be wise and cautious staying anywhere. Dollar tree sells large zip lock storage bags that are big enough to hold a large hiking pack. Also note where the closest laundromat is. In this case, there is one just a 10 minute walk from this motel. Utilize it first thing in the morning. They had very hot dryers which is what...

It's at least a place to stay. It's old and run down. Some of the front doors have gaps and up to 2 inches of space between threshold and door, in which let's the bugs wonder in and out. Also doing the window unit no justice as which all your cold airs going straight out the door. Super small bathrooms, in the one I stayed the sink was directly in front of the toilet leaving me in an award position if I had to poo. Some rooms have roaches as well. Tiles in bathrooms are either missing or bout to fall off walls. Shower super small with little water pressure. But hey, Hot Water...

Liars and discriminated against my elderly disabled mother. They said they had rooms available at 3am and 3:01am said they only had rooms upstairs when I said my mother was in a wheelchair. What upstairs rooms, they are all one flat cottages! We're from out of town, and the hotel we booked only had 2nd floor rooms with no elevator.
