We booked a room with a king sized bed--the picture on Expedia shows a small table and chair in the king sized bed room. No such accommodation so we hauled in a camp chair and one of the outside chairs for our stay. Both of us have computers, but no table was an issue. ||||I had seen the motel before, so was not expecting large rooms. We didn't have a window, either except in back of the large screen TV, and a small skylight over the bed. Again, not as pictured. The room was clean, and maid service was wonderful. These units do not have phones, and our comings and goings were after the office were closed. We did have sufficient outlets. ||||I know, I should have asked at the time we checked in, but this is the first motel I have ever been in that the bed was too tall for me to get into easily. I am 5'2", and the only way I could get into the bed was to turn down the comforter, and jump up while pushing against the wall with one foot. It was only for two nights-- I can deal with anything for two nights-- but was not comfortable, since I am up and down to use the restroom at night. Some sort of small, foldable stool should have been in the room. Yes, my fault for not asking at the desk, but I cannot be the only person with this issue. ||||We might have patronized the restaurant were it open for breakfast. Maybe paint the restaurant some bright color...honestly we didn't notice it until we...
Read moreTLDR: Owner of the store will keep any dime she can, even if the room wasn't used and was Cancled properly with a week ahead of time. The worker that answers the phone is very nice and informative. The reason for the 2 stars is, becuase i tried making reservations with them through Travelocity. The next day I called the Current River Inn to confirm my reservation. The nice worker told me that she couldn't see any reservation made through Travelocity/my name. So I went ahead and booked the room over the phone with them. Well our plans fell through when one friend couldn't make it. So one week before the reservation I called and canceled the reservation, got a confirmation email stating I cancled, well today I checked my bank account and had seen that they charged me 290.40 but refunded 145.20. I called and the Owner said yeah id have to go through Travelocity because their the ones who kept the 145.20 as a service charge. Well turns out that wasn't true she didn't want to return the 145.20 becuase I didn't cancle the online reservation, which I will admit I should have dont but I had thought since it hadn't got through on their end that I wouldn't have to worry about it. Also i guess the two names weren't...

I would like to personally thank the owner miss donna maclearn she was amazing and extremely sweet we called very late at night but she wasn't rude at all she was pleasant got us checked in and made sure we were cozy. The rooms were awesome the beds are plushy and so are the fuzzy pillows she puts on it!! The bathroom is just as nice you can't ask for a more cozy room. The pool was quite lovely and it held the clearest water you could possibly get in a pool and they had pool floats for the kids and sunscreen incase you forgot yours!! The hotel staff was just as equally amazing and they happen to be the owners daughter and grand daughter!! Miss kylie and miss julie were kind and considerate the do not disturb sign was placed backwards on the door knob to read please clean the room instead of do not disturb, but the ladies did not bother us not once. I forgot to mention miss donna suggested a cafe to eat at called spring house if you get the chance go eat there you won't be sorry.
