Unsanitary and Unprofessional – Avoid This Hotel
I stayed at this property from August 22–23, 2025, with my two sisters (ages 21 and 16). I originally booked through Expedia on August 20 for a 2-night stay (Aug 22–24) and received a confirmation number. However, when I called the hotel on the morning of our check-in, they claimed they had no record of my reservation. We were on a tight schedule, so I made a new reservation directly through the hotel.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was substandard. The first room we were given had a strong mildew odor, and we found a bug in the bed. I immediately went to the front desk to check out, but the staff member dismissed my concerns and, in a condescending tone, told me the bug I showed him was not a bed bug. I explained that I still felt very uncomfortable, but he insisted on switching our room rather than just proceeding with the check-out. I hesitantly agreed.
We ended up checking out a day early (on August 23), even though our reservation was through the 24th. I received a receipt showing a reduced charge of $94.21 for the one-night stay. However, I was then charged an additional $188.42 without explanation. I contacted Expedia, but they were unable to reach the hotel for over 24 hours. I never received a receipt or breakdown for the extra charge.
To make matters worse, I was later refunded $94.21, only to be charged that same amount again shortly afterward. I’ve called the hotel multiple times and have not been able to speak with a manager or get any resolution.I regret not listening to the poor reviews posted by other guests. My experience was unpleasant, the facility was unsanitary, and the customer service was dismissive and unprofessional. I do not recommend this...
Read moreStaying for a funeral, we had been here for about 4 nights and seemed ok at first. Pros, quite when no one is here does seem to be a new location The hot water works well I did sleep well for a couple of nights. The staff did seem somewhat helpful
Cons, Our room had a smell Seemed dirty, marks on the walls and hand rails in the bathroom The fire alarm went off. It seemed to happen after a shower. Housekeeping started cleaning the room above ours at 7:30am. We could hear the vacuum running and toilet lids slamming. Hair came out of the jets in the hot tub. The room seemed to need some maintenance. They overbooked and did not hold a room. We had a relative from out of state, which this happened to. This was in conflict with a very loud and Rowdy bunch of people here for little league baseball games. They stated that because he got here after 10p.m. they would not refund or give him another room. He even had a confirmation number for his room. Heavy chlorine smells from the pool area, which burns the eyes and lungs. Kids running freely up and down halls past 11pm, no regards to rules or inforcement. The kids owned this hotel and pool area. Breakfast was microwave eggs and sausage or Belgium waffles. It would have been good if the breaker didn't keep tripping out. This caused delays with the waffle iron. Breakfast food was in short supply. If any more than 6 people go to breakfast. Staff didn't really seem to care. The lady was on a blue mic speaking a foreign language, and the whole time.
I'm sure if I...
Read moreMention of BUG (possibly roach) found
I’m writing this at 3:30AM the first evening of our stay because quite frankly I am shocked.
There are many reviews of the cleanliness of this establishment. On the surface, this is very true. However if you pay attention to detail, the effort is a bit lacking. Specific points I would make are: the elevator (smelled like old food/garbage) the room itself (superficially cleaned, especially the bathroom) last but not least the BUG I just found crawling on my pillow as I was feeding our infant.
How the hotel is choosing to handle the incident is what is absolutely shocking. This bug is likely a roach (possibly a beetle) of some sort. I asked my husband to take a photo of it for our records. When he took it to the concierge, they said they did not have any other rooms and could only offer a TEN PERCENT discount. Frankly, I wouldn’t be interested in any other rooms as the cleanliness cannot be guaranteed to be better than ours and we have since scoured the beds for any signs of other bugs (found spiders in dusty corners but not more bugs). And ten percent compensation is degrading. The quality and peace of mind for our stay has been completely compromised and that is only worth $20.
We will be contacting corporate as well as the local health department regarding our findings, as well as potentially looking into staying elsewhere. Unfortunately we are in from out of town and can’t just “go home”.
Very disappointing given the...
