Warning: BLACK MOLD & ROACHES. NO FIRE ALARMS. UNHYGIENIC STAFF. I work on the road and paid $75 a night for a hotel that I can’t even shower in or feel comfortable enough to unpack my suitcase. I stayed 3 nights, one room for two nights and a different room the third night (third night in room 110 on 01/11/24…). Both rooms do not have smoke alarms (illegal per federal law) and smelt like smoke. On the third night I didn’t enter my room until much later that night, so when I finally got off work and entered room 110, I’m desperate to sleep, but need to shower first. So, I go to the bathroom and turn on the shower and a horrendous stench hits me. I realize the shower head is riddled with black mold and hazardous to my health. See the picture I posted… At this point I have no clothes on and it’s past midnight and I’m so exhausted that I bathe myself with personal water bottles. Not even comfortable using the sink water because it smelt weird as well. Then I prepare to lay down, see a massive live cockroach crawl across the wall and vanish into a crack in the bathroom. I don’t know where it went but I immediately pack my stuff back into the suitcase because now I’m completely questioning the decreased sanitary state this room is in. Disgusting. Pay the extra money and go elsewhere. On a side note, the first red flag I should have taken into account was the front desk attendants poor hygiene. He was wearing a red shirt with a stain on the right shoulder for three days in a row. Talk to that man about his hygiene please… staff have low expectations of themselves which is probably why the rooms are in poor condition.

I travel over 100 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. The pool is closed and apparently has been for some time. Check in went smoothly. My room, a queen single, was clean, with a comfortable bed and pillows. Of the stated amenities, some were in place, such as the microwave and small refrigerator, there was no coffee maker. The hotel has a luggage cart. My air conditioner/heater worked well. The television had a small selection of channels but a good picture. The breakfast area was clean and they kept bringing fresh items. The snack machine was empty, the soda machine is $1.50, and is cash only. Issues: no housekeeping on a stayover, no smoke detector in the room, one of the lights didn't work and the dresser drawer front literally came off in my hand. It's a clean enough hotel but appears to have maintenance issues.

Beyond Filthy and refused to make it right. I NEVER leave bad reviews bc I know things happen and places have bad days but it's a safety issue & since they refused to make it right or refund our stay I'm sharing so that others might be aware. We checked in around 5 brought up our bags & left to visit family & go out for dinner. The room was in rough shape (bathroom door warped, the hotel & room had a musty odor, and it was obvious the place wasn't swept because there were food remnants on the floor) but for the price we were willing to deal with it until we got the kids ready for bed, pulled back the sheets & found LITERAL POOP on the sheets.... that was the final straw. We packed our stuff, left and my husband went down to talk to the staff about them making it right. No refund, not even an offer to change the sheets.... I have never experienced anything like that and I used to work in hotels for 10 years.

My girlfriend and I came down this weekend to stay because of a yearly trip to watch Vincennes University Men's Basketball with some friends from college. We decided to stay here because it was not only cheap but it was where the rest of our group was staying. During our stay, we had several experiences from staying here, most were not good. I would not stay here again and not recommend this hotel to others.

What was good: The price was really cheap. I was able to book a whole weekend for the price of one night at another hotel. The location was really nice. It was in a nice location and has a nice pond on the backside of the hotel.

What was bad: The gentleman running the front desk during check was polite but would not honor any requests. I felt really brushed off. When I had booked our room, I had booked a one queen bed room. Upon checking in, we were told that we had a double queen bed room. I had expressed that we did not need two beds because it was just two of us and one bed would do. The gentleman told us "Well, you got upgraded" and did not attempt to give us a quick change. I had also asked for a room on the second floor and facing the back of the building because of what was stated in other reviews. He gave us a room on the first floor facing the back and never gave us an explanation why. I understand that not every request can be honored, but at least make some kind of attempt to work with the guests. ( The hotel was certainty not full as there were only a few cars at any point on the property.) The rooms themselves looked nice but were in very rough shape. One example was the lock on the outside of the door needed a battery swap and had to be repaired as we checked in. A second was the plumbing, our toilet would flush any liquid but nothing else. Toilet paper would float down then come back up and sit until it would dissolve. I brought this up to the front desk and they said maintenance would look at it but nothing was done. The blankets were paper thin and it was hard to keep warm. We had to take the blankets off the second bed to make our rest comfortable. Also, the mattresses are rock hard. The cleanliness of the rooms was awful. The rooms were in need of a serious deep cleaning. I am going to list off all the issues that discovered in our room. A. One bed in our room had three cigarette burns on the outer comforter. B. Our shower curtain had dried blood on it. It also looked like a dab of blood was found on the ceiling in the shower. C. The chair that was in our room was needing either a deep clean or replaced with a new one. It literally looked like a child had drawn over it with it with either a crayon or a marker and housekeeping could not get it out. When the cushion was pulled back, a worm was found. D. One our beds had stains on the bedsheets. E. The tv was mounted to the wall which was nice. However, it had a severe tilt in it. When looking at how it was mounted. It was discovered that a dental floss pick was the only thing holding it up. This made me nervous because I didn't want charged if it were to fall. F. There was a distinct smell of cigarette odor in our room. G . Upon trying to change the temperature in the room, the cover just fell off in the floor to the air...

Worst hotel experience ever. Management was very rude and unprofessional. I came from Oklahoma to visit my daughter and family. My best friend and her husband came from Ohio. Her father made her reservations online. The reason this Hotel was selected was first it had a pool, second it was close to my daughters house and third the price per night stay was not to bad. We all decided that we would swim with my best friend after they arrived so we could hang out because they would be tired after traveling all day. After they arrived, she called me and my daughter, her husband, myself, grand daughter and grandson came to her hotel to swim for a hour or so and then we planned dinner for the evening. Upon us arriving, my best friend said that she was told that they could not have guests in the pool. We then decided to rent a room so we could still swim and be able to hang out but was told we would have to rent two rooms at 89.99 a night even though the manager knew we just wanted to hang out with my best friend and swim for a little while due to the fact that they were tired from traveling. My best friend cannot endure a lot of physical activities due to a automobile accident. Swimming is an activity that does not hurt her body. Long story short we went to the pool park and my best friend stayed at the hotel and I was unable to spend that time with her. She was also told if she had any visitors in her room that they would throw them out without giving them their money back. So, I could not even go hang out with her at her hotel. I rented a room at the Marriott in the same city a few years back and had a wonderful stay without restrictions of hotel use.We were able to have my daughter and her family come swim with us , plus had a bar b que and had a get together of a family to which we never met in the hotel lobby area. We never take advantage of Hotel amenities but we always make our stay decisions on them according to our plans. Just because it says it has a pool, It has many restrictions so be careful. Also the manager embarrassed my best friend by coming out of the office after I went to her room with her while she used the restroom and yelled at her saying you need to come to my office right now. This all took place within the first 30 minutes of her checking in. Many other defects but personally unknown to myself. I cannot speak on them since I do not know and did not see...

Do not make a reservation at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Vincennes, Indiana! In fact, do not make a reservation using the Super 8 by Wyndham website as there is no guarantee they will honor the rate of your confirmed reservation.||My experience: In April 2023 I made a reservation for April 2023 (a full year in advance) at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Vincennes. The reservation was made via the Super 8 by Wyndham website for 2 rooms for 1 night at a rate of $76/night /room plus tax for a total of $172 for the stay. I promptly received a confirmation for my reservation. Everything’s settled and great right?||Then in July 2023 (a full 12 weeks after my reservation was made, accepted, and confirmed) I received a call from Super 8 by Wyndham stating that they were no longer going to honor the rate for our confirmed reservation and that we had the option of accepting a new rate of $300/night/room plus tax (vs the prior $76) or canceling our rooms.||In our case this is a 400% increase in room rate 12 weeks after the reservation was made, accepted, and confirmed! Our total bill for the 2 room 1 night stay would increase from a total of $172 to a total of $678.|So, I guess Super 8 by Wyndham sees they have a big event in the area where price gouging is allowed and they throw their other customers under the bus! I find this unethical that Super 8 by Wyndham makes commitments as a business and then will not honor them. This is a reflection on the Wyndham corporation!||Again, based on my experience do not make a reservation at the Super 8 by Wyndham in Vincennes! In fact, do not make any reservation using the Super 8 by Wyndham website as there is no guarantee they will honor the rate of your confirmed...
