My Tiano Native Puerto Rican Indian Wedding was sensational but I had alot of stressful moments before and during the wedding. The hotel is beautiful and the wedding organizer Clarissa was extremely excellent. But there was one specific staff member, that continued to antagonize us and I'm not sure if it had to do because of who we were. She gave my husband a hard time with allowing him to leave the decorations there and insisted on we had no reservation. Confirming with our coordinator Clarissa that we had indeed a room and could leave the decorations there to get the cake.My now husband had to wait for the shift change to have the other young lady find our reservation and leave decorations so he could get stuff done before I got out of work. You know I was stressing at work. The young girl on the shift change immediately found our reservation and allowed him to put the decorations down, so he could retrieve the cake. Now mind you that no smoking is allowed inside but the hallway stunk like weed all night long,. Everytime we went outside to smoke a cigarette and take puppy outside. Now no dogs allowed on premises but we let our coordinator know that we do have a certified service dog chihuahua. He was coming out in wedding with me. She said it was ok for me to have him. This same lady that picked on my husband the day before my wedding came knocking on our room door 2 hrs before wedding and told us that we had to leave with the dog because the dog was not allowed in the building. My service dog that helps me was being kicked out with us on our wedding day. She once again had no name tag or said her name. I told her we weren't going anywhere because the coordinator said my service dog was allowed there with me for my wedding day and I wasn't leaving on my special day. I ended up late for my own wedding being in the same hotel down the hall because I was upset. My service dog came out and wedding continued as planned. Coordinator did an awesome job until my cake was melting because nobody really knew why? Coordinator said everything was fine the night before. Service was excellent but we didn't get our special meals we first original discussed. And when we left the following day, we didn't get the top cake, we got bottom cake melted . So we were originally going to stay an extra day for a honeymoon but ended up leaving instead. We left the room clean, towels and bags of trash all ready in corner for cleaning lady to pick up. Besides having problems with specific lady, melted cake, and the weed smell. Everything else was awesome. Clarissa is excellent for parties and weddings. I...
Read moreFirst, I made my reservation over the phone and was told the receipt was going to be sent over shortly. After confirming the details verbally, the call was disconnected and no receipt was sent. A few days later, the bride of the wedding I was attending called and asked why I only booked for Friday. I advised her I booked Thursday through Sunday as we were arriving early. I called the hotel and they said my reservation couldn't be changed. The GM called and we got it straightened out but it was still a headache. The day before arrival, on May 1 at 8:23am central, I called to ask if you had pack and plays or cribs. I was told by the female on the phone that they were available and to ask for them when I checked in. When arriving the next day, I was told that there weren't any pack and plays and it was a newer employee that didn't know any better that answered my question. We should have left the hotel at this point. After loading up the nice luggage cart, we then found out that there wasn't an elevator to take everything to our room, not the worst thing as we could carry them but extremely annoying. The room was absolute hell. The floors were not together properly, the floors were dirty, the room stunk of marijuana, you could see light from our air conditioner to the outside elements, and just felt dirty in the room. Definitely not somewhere we wanted to have our 10 month old crawling around. This hotel needs a lot of work. I have seen a lot of Red Roof Inns that look a lot better than this dump. The bar and restaurant staff were phenomenal as alcohol was the only thing that could numb the pain of how terrible this hotel was. I feel sorry for the bride and groom that they chose this as an option for their...
Read moreI think four stars is a little generous but three stars would not be fair. I think a 3.5 star rating would be the most accurate. Being a Millville native, I know there are a few motels locally that are sketchy with drug activity and such. I saw nothing of that nature here on a Wednesday night. I also know this motel has been here for quite a while. I expected the room to be a little outdated but it was not. The owners appear to keep everything up to date from what I saw. The parking lot, lobby and general area was very clean. Almost everything in the room was neat and very clean. I loved that it had a couch and coffee table to relax at. I had a few issues but feel that they were relatively minor in comparison to other places at this price point. I booked through Priceline same day. The king bed was on the firm side. There were a few hairs inside and on the edge of the tub. The only buttons I could get to work on the remote were the power and the volume so the TV stayed on MeTV for background noise. I'm pretty sure I could have went to the front desk about it but I really wasn't concerned with it. Finally, the two towels & hand towels hanging on the towel rack were soured. Nothing worse than getting out of a long hot shower, drying your self and hair then realizing the towel has that smell to it (new pro tip, sniff test motel room linens after checking in). There were extra clean towels on the shelf. I feel that these are minor gripes compared to an otherwise pleasant stay. I always check the floor, bed and drawers for bugs. I did not see any. The heater and shower worked great. I would recommend and will probably stay here again when I'm...
