Hello everyone I would love to talk about the staff's knowledge at Wawa. There were so many customers there when I pulled into the parking lot on this day. I stopped in for just a coffee because I was driving up from Florida to New Jersey. I was getting so sleepy before I stopped into Wawa When I walked in I could not believe how many customers were standing around while the staff at Wawa was making everyone's food and the cashier was steadily ringing everyone up. The staff was doing an excellent job which includes the cash register clerk, the deli worker, and the coffee makers. They all deserve a raise from what I saw them do that day. I know Wawa will not provide a bonus for any of its workers that'll day. I know they will but they have a screening And that's how they get paid a bonus for that day they worked. I really felt sorry for all them bc they were working so hard! Anyway I wanted to come on here and left Anyone who works their at least 3-6 people I believe should go tell the manager they believe they should be approved for some kind of bonus. The staff had 1 cashier, 0 coffee makers, 2 workers at the dailey up at the food court from it staying so busy . They were short-staffed today and I know because I worked in testraunts for over 15 years as a server. Thank All of you for helping me B4 I got out of j what I havingb...
Read moreWow. I’ve been to many Wawa locations, and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had.
I’m from out of town, and every time I visit New Jersey, I make sure to pick up a box of Krimpets. At one Wawa, I purchased a 6-count box for around $5—no issue. But when I went to this Wawa, the cashier (I believe his name was Tyler, wearing glasses) tried to charge me $68 for the same box.
We pointed out the mistake, and he acknowledged the error—only to “correct” it to $60. We told him that still couldn’t be right, but he insisted it was, saying “it can’t be that cheap” and claiming they charge $5 per Krimpet, not per box. It felt like they were just making up prices on the spot to suit themselves. At that point, we walked out.
Out of disbelief, we returned the next day with a friend who didn’t believe what had happened. The same cashier rang us up again—this time for $28, which was still wrong. So we used self-checkout instead, and unsurprisingly, the actual price came up as $5.
We tried to explain all of this, but when he called over a female coworker (with curly hair), it became clear that neither of them had any idea what they were doing.
Moral of the story: avoid this Wawa. They’ll overcharge you and seem to invent prices when they don’t know what the real ones are. Completely...
