Good, but could improve slightly: Breakfast could offer healthier options such as low-cal cream cheese, low-cal yogurt (dannon light and fit, perhaps#, and fresh fruit. The bacon was crispy and delicious #my unhealthy weakness!). They offered cereal, cinnamon rolls, pancakes, sausage, eggs, bread and bagels, juice.
Cons: One of our parties got booked in a smoking room when it should have been a nonsmoking. The staff said they were booked the rest of the week and couldn't promise that she would be able to switch into a nonsmoking. We asked if we could get priority on the next nonsmoking that came free since we made our reservations first, and they said no, but I think they thought we were asking to cancel someone else's reservation, when we were really asking if we could just get the next nonsmoking, and give the smoking room to people who made their reservation after us. Luckily, one of our other parties is a smoker so they took the room, but they said they still would have prefered a nonsmoking.
Also during check-in, half of our party wanted to switch our room reservation to our own names instead of the person who initially made everyone's room reservation. We provided our information and credit card and thought everything was good to go. When I got my receipt at check-out, my colleague's name, infomation, and rewards # was on my receipt. My credit card was the only thing that got switched to my name...naturally, ha. When I asked if I could get my points and a receipt with my information on it, they said they couldn't fix it since we had already checked in. Obviously, if I would have thought that our information would not be transferred correctly, I would have got it fixed during check-in, but what can you do when you don't know what...
Read moreI stayed at this Holiday Inn Express per the request of my company as I was in town for business. The hotel seemed fine at first, nothing special but fine, until I returned on multiple days to find my door left open. I did not report this thinking it could be the fault of my own or was done by accident by the maid staff. I was sure to check all of my belongings each day my door was left open to make sure nothing was taken. I had no problems until the final night when I returned back to find my door open and $150 in cash taken from a wallet that was zipped away in my bag. I immediately reported the issue and was instructed to put in a police report, which I did. The hotel staff basically told me there was nothing they could do for me because there was no proof the money was taken, even though my door was left open on their watch because I had made sure my door was closed that morning as I had issues on prior days. The maid staff had visited my room because my bed was made when I returned, which leads me to believe they left my door open (Accident or not it was still left open for anyone's access).
Then next morning I went down to talk to the manager, who would not be in until that afternoon. The person I did speak with initially responded to my issue asking me, "Why would you leave that much money in your hotel room?". I had already been upset at myself for leaving the money, but thought it was absurd that the first response by the staff was to ask why I left money in my hotel room. I left it there because I had trusted that my room would be secure and safe, which was obviously not the case. She believe I had misplaced the money and that there was no way someone took my money, even though it was of no fault of mine that my door was left open for the entire day
Later that day I called the manager and she told me they would be cooperating with the police and would be calling me back soon. I have yet to receive a call from her. I'm very displeased with the way this situation was handled and I would never stay at this hotel again! Please don't make the same...
Read moreMy Cousin and I were on a motorcycle road trip and my motorcycle started having trouble. We were at the gas station right near your property and decided to come over to see if you’ll had availability just in case we were not able to get the motorcycle fixed. Your staff welcomed us with open arms, letting us know your availability and also providing information to handle our business. We honestly could have gotten the bikes towed and pushed it to see what we could make happen, but because everyone made us feel at home we decided to stay here and take our time.
It was a breath of fresh air, because customer service like this is almost none existence now a days.
• Kalyn greeted us at the desk with a warm smile. God has blessed her with a loving spirit and heart for service. She exudes happiness and makes you feel like she has your best interest at heart. Kalyn allowed us to use the lobby to make calls before she even knew we were staying at the property.
• Amanda was also working in the lobby and started conversation with us to make sure that we were okay. Amanda has the way of talking to you to make you feel like family. She was more than helpful and I can see exactly why she is the Executive Housekeeper.
• Teresa in laundry did an absolutely outstanding job of giving us towels while we were standing there soaking wet. She allowed us to dry off and then took the wet towels from us so we did not have to carry them.
• Alex, Tabetha, and Joy in housekeeping greeted us while we were walking to the elevator and told us to let them know if we had any issues with the room or if it was not to our liking.
• When we got to our room the door was not locking and Mr. Scott was quick to get the issue addressed and told us he would check on us later to make sure that it was working correctly.
Mrs. Brandi, I do a lot of business with the Holiday Inn brand all over the world, and I would just like to say that you are blessed to have your staff! I do not believe that things happen on accident and God wanted us to stay here. Once again, ABSOLUTELY...
