I have never written a bad review, I always try to work things out but I did try very hard and the way I was ignored I have to alert other online buyers to pass this dealership by. I bought a used 2012 Tahoe online from Bob Hart dealership. Paid $1600 to have it shipped to NY. I wanted minimal rust. I saw all the pics it looked good and I felt confident when i looked at the Carfax which said the car had just been serviced so I thought it must be running well, it has over 200k miles on it. I couldn't see in the pics that the dashboard was cracked all over, pics didnt show the pool of water laying under the carpet on driver side floorpan, b/c of bad weatherstripping which I replaced. Also has to replace all 4 tires because they were too big and rubbing the wheelwell, a sound which is very evident that they never told me about. But, of course one can expect a few flaws when not checking in person, these things did not bother me. When I took the first drive with my wife and the light went on after 10 miles with my wife in the car saying "I told you you should not have bought online" that bothered me. This dealership after stating on Carfax car had been serviced, reset the engine light without repairing the codes. You can not get a car on the road here with engine light on, will not pass inspection. This is against the law here but I am not the type to sue so I'll just alert other online or used car buyers who may want to purchase a vehicle at Bob Hart. Don't do it. So after informing them the cosy of repair was $450 I was told "I will tell the boss" by Kelly. I even told him "How would you feel if you drove off the lot and engine light came on?" Yes you would go right back, well unfortunately I am 1400 miles away and cant ship it back. So help me out here. That was over a week ago so here I am. I was very surprised at the dishonesty and the unwillingnes to right a wrong. I would have loved to give great review and recommend to friends but I cannot after this. I could never recommend as a good source for online shopping. They lied about servicing and ignored me. You will not see a response from them for this review. I gave them every chance to fix this. Repair was only $450 imagine if it was more. It may be you next time. I'm a reasonable guy. There is no excuse for what they did and didn't do. Not Reputable. THEY OFFERED NO SATISFACTION not a dime. BUYER BEWARE! They had supposedly "serviced" the vehicle. Proves my point they cant be trusted and people should not buy...
Read moreI want to start by saying they have been ultra-responsive and quick to answer questions. The problem was not from a lack of respect stand point. Here is my buying experience with them:
I sent an email late in the night and they contacted me 1st thing on the morning. I have been working with sales and the sales manager on and off for roughly 6 hours! We had worked everything out, down to the floor mats. I had contacted my bank and had my credit run for the approval, i contacted insurance and set everything up for this specific car with the VIN. Only to be called by another manager or the GM (not sure which) to be told "There is nothing in this for me, I'm not making money on your trade, I won't be able to make money on you from service and you're not financing with me" He then offered $3k less on my trade-in than we had previously agreed to. I asked why this wasn't said up-front and he said he just didn't like the deal when it came to his desk. I asked how it would feel if i showed up after agreeing to a price via phone and txt only for me to tell him i will be paying less. He then laughed and said "that’s how everyone does it".
I wouldn't even write this review if I had been told that the deal wouldn't work from the beginning but to spend all day going back and forth, run my credit for the bank approval and set up insurance only for them to cancel the deal is bad...
Read moreI was looking for a specific truck, and found it at Bob Hart Chevrolet, one state and 3 1/2 hours away. I was put into contact with John 'Goat' Goertzen. Goat made the entire long - distance experience much easier than I expected by being diverse through his communication, using phone calls, email, texting, and picture messaging, all in the same day. I needed to complete this purchase in less than forty eight hours, and Goat facilitated it in little more than a day. Driving my trade all the way there, I discovered that my experience with Goat in person was equally as great as it was fun (the guy has a great sense of humor, and is very easy to talk to) with the rest of their staff being just as kind and easy going. We had come close to finishing the negotiations on trade before I came in, to be finalized when I was there in person. I'm prior service, so I've driven upwards of fifteen hours to waste my time in places. I was prepared to turn right back around if the experience changed, or if they tried to lowball me, using the distance already driven to trap me. Instead, we came to a fair conclusion on our negotiation, and I drove away with the truck I wanted with a smile on my face. If Bob Hart Chevrolet has a vehicle you want, Goat is the man you want to talk to for the best experience possible. Thanks...
