Would only recommend staying if it’s your last resort! The driveshaft broke in my truck just before exit 53 in Walterboro, South Carolina, so call the Tow Truck and was towed to the Rodeway Inn where I ended up staying a week waiting for my driveshaft to be delivered the price was different everyday I stayed there. In a room that the key card reader on the outside door knob, were both almost fell completely off, said something to them several times of course nothing done about itFor almost 2 full days there was no power on one side of our room or the bathroom. Kept telling them about it kept telling them about it then they finally understood. I was telling them the microwave screwed up and tripped the power and that they needed to get the power turned back on and a new microwave put in there. They finally did so, and the lady in the office made me walk down to another room and get the microwave from it. It looks like they tried making it nicer at some point and only painted the bathtub part of the shower. There was a black mold growing in the bathroom on the ceiling and on the shower curtain. The sink leak. When we first got there, we thought something was wrong with the fridge and realized it was froze over and needed to be defrosted on top of needing to be cleaned properly. That I ended up having to defrost and clean. When the trash bag was full, and I took it out to put it in a big trashcan outside did inside the trashcan was disgusting. The floors were cleaned very poorly. Was glad to get my truck fixed and out of that place. Unfortunately, after our travels and on our way back home, decided to go ahead and pull off for the night on that exit cause we were familiar with it and didn’t end up with much choices for a hotel room because how late it was. And got stuck having to stay a night there because as you can see why they were the only ones that had open rooms. Upon this stay I rented two rooms. And she put us in the same room we had rented for a week when we broke down in the room next-door to it. The key card, reader and outside door knob still not fixed in the first room we were in in the room next to it that she put us in the TV did not work in it and neither did the microwave, the walls were dirty in the bathroom and behind the the desk things and where the trash cans are of both rooms in the room the TV didn’t work. There was still something crusted to the floor that was not clean properly which I can only assume is animal feces because we were traveling with two puppies she put us in the single story building which I notice seems to be the room she puts people traveling with animals we were in both times we were thereand charge me full price when I checked in really late and said she’d put another TV in it the next morning when it would do no good because I was checking out and wouldn’t even discount the room.. and a few of the booking sites list them is serving breakfast and they do not the only thing they serve is coffee starting at 6 AM. The only thing I can guarantee is your bedding is clean all they have are non-smoking rooms so in the midst of being broke down there for a week walking outside to smoke a cigarette I seen for myself. They do pull the bedding every day every bit of it, and it goes over to their laundry room. And clean fresh bedding and towel are taken to the rooms after they’ve been washed and dried and they’ve done what I guess is their idea of clean done on the rooms…. So like I said, only say if it is your last resort and then at least you know your towels and your...
Read moreWe booked through Priceline and went based on what they said and the photos they had. What an absolute horrible mistake!! We DEFINITELY should have read the reviews!(that will never happen again!) We booked two rooms, one accessible and one not. Both non smoking yet the accessible one smelled like smoke as soon as the ac kicked on. Both so dirty I can’t even put it in words. The floors made our feet black! Complained and they did come mop the floors. The sheets did look clean in both rooms as did the towels, but everything else was absolutely disgustingly dirty! The bathroom, the showers, the walls, the appliances, everywhere you look it looked as though it had never been cleaned! The rooms did look as though they tried to update them but did a very poor job and didn't finish. One of the rooms the outside door handle was almost broken off. They tried to give me another room and it too was dirty and looked as though someone had kicked off the bathroom door handle! I decided to stay in my original room since it was closer to where my parents were staying, incase something happened! Thankfully it didn't! The sketchy people/other guests, painted the full picture as to what kind of hotel this was and it was not one that you should bring your family to! Why Priceline has very outdated photos on their website is beyond imaginable! It may have looked that nice at one point in time, 20 years ago, but it is a run down absolute dump now! And like so many other reviews that I have now read, we were too exhausted and had paid through Priceline to change hotels! Above the accessible room there was an all night extremely loud party that the front desk refused to do anything about! So with everything and fearing for our safety, we didn’t get any sleep! BE WARNED! DO NOT STAY HERE! Unless of course you dont care about anything I or others have said! Oh and the laughable responses from management on these reviews is also another lie! They DO NOT care nor will they...
Read moreLocated on a very busy stretch of road off 95S. Room we were given had two double beds. It looks like they were in the middle of a remodel when they rented us the room tonight. Random drawer was taped up and laying on its side near the door. No night-table. A long table-top was leaning against the wall in between the beds. It has one lamp underneath the 'desk' which is missing a chair. Two TV's were in the room, right on top of each other, so you really couldn't watch anything. Not that you'd want to. Since the place is so sleazy I wouldn't even connect to their wifi. Beds appear clean, mine had old drops of blood on the side of the sheet. Pillows were flat as pancakes. Beds lumpy. Mini-fridge smelled like something died in it. Bathroom was tiny with vanity and sink outside. Tub looked very, very, old and had massive staining where you have to stand if you shower (note: I wasn't brave enough to try it.) All the doors to get into all the rooms here have the rooms open to the outside. No inside hallways. Our door had huge gaps along the side where you can see a lot of light coming in near the bottom of the door. Also, the door appears to have been busted open at some point (kicked open?), making it hard to latch with just the key card lock. Thankfully? they had a deadbolt. For a Sat night, it ended up being $120 for 3 adults and 1 small dog. Not a place I'm ever going to stay again. Wouldn't surprise me if we woke up to bugs in the room due to the big gap in the door. (we did) Obviously no amenities. No breakfast or even a coffee pot in the room. Floors were filthy, my white socks were dark gray just from walking across the floor for several minutes. No place to plug in your electronics except next to the one working lamp...which is across the room on the only table in the room. For a Choice Hotel, it really isn't one. A choice, I mean. Stay...
