I cannot begin to put in to the words the udder disgust and disappointment with my overnight stay here....I booked a NON SMOKING DOUBLE room for 4 people on 12/30/2018 through a third party company. I called the night before I was supposed to check in to confirm that I'd be all set and was good to go to which they said yes, I was good! SO I go to check in on Saturday the 12th & and to my disappointment I was told they needed payment...um what?? I explained that I already paid through the third party and showed them in my bank account where the charge for the room had already been taken out but yet they had no record of payment...after paying A SECOND TIME for the room I was given keys to a SINGLE SMOKING room I showed the man behind the counter my receipt for the room I booked and asked why the heck I was in a disgusting smoking room and PD-the GENERAL MANAGER couldn't give me a straight answer....once we got settled in the nasty smoking room and I called the third party I booked with, come to find out they didn't pay the Super 8 on their end....little mistake. I get it, BUT why didn't the Super 8 in Wayne tell me THE DAY BEFORE when I called to confirm with them so I could call the third party to tell them to make their payment...very VERY deceitful. PLUS having been put in the smoking room the next morning when I woke up I had the taste of cigarettes in my mouth, my hair and clothes stunk like smoke and still two days later I have a heavy chest and a cough because of the smoke. The lobby was dirty, front desk was cluttered, often times there wasn't anyone behind the counter for assistance and was just treated unprofessionally....NEVER again will I stay at this sorry excuse for a hotel to save a few extra pennies. Next time I visit Wayne I will have no problem splurging a little for the Cobblestone because clearly you pay for...
Read moreCalling it a hotel would be too generous. The room was beyond dirty. When I opened the door to the room, I was hit with a wave of hot, humid air and a stale, moldy, cigarette smoke smell. There were stains on the floors, the comforter had a burn hole in it, two of the pillow covers had reddish-brown stains on them, and the light switches looked contagious. With COVID around, you would think they would be fastidiously cleaning. The television didn't work, so I couldn't distract myself from how unclean the room was. The wall in the bathroom was disgusting, with urine dripping down it, as well as dripping down the bottom of the toilet bowl, and the countertop in the bathroom had dried toothpaste splotches and hair from a previous guest. The towels smelled clean, but they had holes in them and were permanently stained. The chair at the desk had large rips, exposing the stuffing underneath. Breakfast looked like a half gallon of milk and some oranges. I skipped it and went next door to McD's. Seriously, if there is ANYWHERE else to stay, like maybe in your car, it would be better than this place. Booked it because the other hotel was full....
Read moreIf you go in expecting that you are staying at a 2 star property, then your expectations will be met. There isn't anything fancy about the hotel, but it is decently cleaned and it is comfortable for a one or two night stay if the majority of what you are doing in the room is sleeping. ||If you are trying to watch TV, you will be really disappointed as there is no TV channel guide, so you have to scroll quite a bit to find stuff and the remotes in the multiple rooms we have stayed in barely work when you are sitting in the bed. However, there were music channels that you could listen to so that was cool. ||We will absolutely make this our primary go to hotel in Wayne as we can get 2 rooms for cheaper than 1 room at the hotel across the parking lot. We have a child that goes to college at WSC and for the amount of trips we'll be making for sporting events, it pays to...
