I had planned on writing a review of my night at this hotel but the owner did not honor the reservation that I had made weeks ago. My wife and I tried to check in at 5:30 in the evening. I told the man my name and he repeated it to me with my cell number. He then said I have been calling you all day to confirm your reservation. He then said if I don’t speak with you then I assume you are not showing up. I have turned away over 100 people wanting rooms tonight. I asked him why he didn’t leave a message but he never answered. He then told me you have a phone, it rings you answer it. I had received calls with an unknown Oklahoma City (Hotel is in Hinton) phone number but they never left a message. I thought it must be another automated call that we receive frequently. This is the type of owner who has no business being in the hospitality industry. He spoke to me and my wife like we were children(we are 50+ years old). It’s quite apparent that he has zero professional standards. I would recommend staying away from this establishment since the owner obviously disrespects his customers and treats them like we are disposable. . I spoke to the other hotel in Hinton about our experience and they said "Oh ya, we know all about him". Makes you wonder how he stays in business and the sad life he...
Read moreThis place is charming, convenient, and SO CLEAN! I was needing a place to stay near Sugar Creek Casino for a concert last weekend. I originally tried to book a room at the casino's hotel, but it was fully booked a month in advance, and I'm so glad it was because the Country Inn was absolutely ideal! This place is located directly across the street from the casino, while the actual casino owned hotel is a good little trek up the road. This place was so close that I was able to run and check on my dog in the room in between sets. Having the most convenient place to stay with my fur-baby is my number one priority, and this place couldn't have been better! The bed was comfortable, the room and bathroom were sparkling clean, and the charming decor made me feel like I wasn't staying in a motel, but rather that I was a special guest in someone's home. There were even chocolates by the bed! :) I sincerely appreciate the great care that so obviously goes into making this place such a wonderful, welcoming place to stay. Will definitely be back!...
Read moreGreat hotel! Don't believe the bad reviews. We stayed last night to see a concert across the street at Sugar Creek Casino. It was clean...like CLEAN! No old motel smell. The furnishings were older but well maintained. Blankets were soft, good pillows, comfy beds. There are not bed bugs like someone said...believe me... I always check. We stay in Hilton's pretty much exclusively so after reading the bad reviews I was not sure about staying. I'm glad we did. Also, the owner is NOT a jerk! He is a hard working individual who appreciates people being responsible adults. Call and confirm your room, or answer the phone if he calls to confirm...that's it. He's not super sociable and isn't going to be kissin' any butts or anything...but not a jerk. They don't have coffee pots or microwaves or refrigerators, but they do sell bag ice. It's half the price of the casino hotel and directly across the street too! Great place to stay the night and we will definitely be back for...
