Booked the place on expedia for a week night at $125. We were happy to notice that this place was located next to a busy intersection across from a walmart.
This best western shares the property with a gas station next door. So if you are heading on a long trip you could fill up your tank and buy stuff you need for your long trip. The parking lot was full so we kept circling the motel for about 5 minutes after which we found an empty spot on the back of the building. We are thankful that our vehicle was safe during the night and not broken into.
On entering our room on the 6th floor across from the elevator we were pleased to see a clean room with no mold or mildew smell, no weed or mariguana or cigarette smell/odors. As we unpacked we noticed none of the plug in sockets worked as they were not the right size. So we could not recharge our phones or laptops during our stay which was a bummer since we had a lot of work that needed to be done.
Wifi was good through out our stay. The room was cool enough when we checked in so we turned off the AC for the night since we dislike loud sounds. Bathroom was clean. Towels and accessories were provided. Check out time was at 11 am.
Breakfast was from 6:30 am to 9 am. The water fountain worked only during breakfast so you would have to buy water at all other times. The front desk was adjacent to the breakfast area. An asian indian female (owner/partner/supervisor) was correcting her employee on how to do numerous things. I hope this lady did it in private rather than having 20+ random people listen to how she was treating/correcting her employee.
Breakfast served was mediocre. They had a waffle maker, various breads, muffins and danish along with omlettes, potatoes, sausages, coffee, apple juice, orange juice, water etc. The supposedly hot foods such as omelettes, potatoes and sausages were cold as stone and not flavorful. In fact i felt the potatoes were raw and under cooked hence tasted awful.
The reason we booked this place was because the Hampton Inn next door was retailing for $165 on expedia. Overall the stay was ok. We might return since we got a coupon for our next stay at...
Read moreThe room was definitely not up to standard. There’s a musty smell upon entering. There was stains on the carpet, smears on the wall from lord knows what, black smears on the shower curtain, and even a black smear on the ceiling. I say smears for lack of knowledge of what the substances even were. The bathroom floor was sticky. The shower was almost impossible to work and once the water is running there is only one setting: scolding hot. The bed was definitely NOT a queen bed. It was a full bed and a small one at that. Thankfully my boyfriend and I are smaller people, because the front desk representative informed us it’s “up to best western’s standard for a queen”. We asked for a different room and we’re shown 2 other rooms with the same size for a “queen”, same crummy showers with one setting, and same musty smell. Then when I tried to speak with a manager in the morning another front desk representative was there, and she was not polite at all. Barely looked at me and gave one word responses and was clearly already annoyed I approached her at all, so we just dealt with it for the weekend. She had the same rude attitude when checking out too (not even a have a nice day). All of this for a hotel behind 7/11 with two nights costing me $371 and the room is non-refundable. The only redeem factor was the lovely breakfast staff and the warm breakfast, which is why I gave 2 stars for service. They actually did such a great job and even complimented my outfit. I’ve stayed at Best Westerns before and this was definitely the...
Read moreI’m writing this review based off my stay on 9-16-21. I want to start off by saying, for a 3-star hotel, the authorization deposit should not be a $200 hold. When I got to room 312, I immediately noticed that the wall outlet was hanging outside of the wall, the safe was completely destroyed and the bottom of the bedspring was hanging from out the sides of the bed. I contacted the front desk to ask for a room change, the lady at the front desk told me that there weren’t any rooms available. The lady stated that she would send someone to fix the room up but no one ever showed (although the next morning, the front desk stated that they sent someone and they have proof on camera which the lady agreed to email me the time the maintenance guy knocked on the door). I was in room for two hours after notifying front desk rep about my observations. So, I was forced to stay in the room with my child that had many safety hazards. I was able to manage by sleeping in the same bed with my child due to the malfunction of the other bed near window a/c section of the room. During breakfast, the breakfast meats were not cooked thoroughly, and juice machines were spitting out water, so my son and I settled for waffle maker and yogurt offered. In conclusion, this hotel needs to thoroughly inspect rooms before requesting so much from guest during check in. FYI, signed disclosures should not state that guest is responsible for any lost or stolen items if the safes are not working in the rooms. A lot has to change before I’ll consider...
