Scott was great, but the whole service is a rip off and lacks transparency. You're required to pay $130 and nowhere on the website does it tell you the cost of labor or potential parts. The driver told us that he was on his way, but that he didn't have his service vehicle because it's been in the shop for 2 weeks and so he didn't have any parts. Essentially we're forced to pay for a diagnosis which we already communicated upon scheduling the appointment. There is no number to call and if you chat online, it's just a robot that will only respond to specific prompts unrelated to our questions. Now I'm stuck with $130 bill and no solution because the parts weren't available + the job was going to cost $400 - half the cost of a new dryer. Also, if you order the LG parts directly from LG online, they're nearly half the price as what Sears charges. Now I'm stuck paying for a new dryer plus the $130 fee. Had any of this been disclosed up front, we wouldn't have set up the appointment. I highly recommend some transparency to customers. I will never call for service again and I will share this information with family and friends. Do...
Read moreWould give negative stars if possible. Worst experience of my entire life. I was very disappointed because I have used SEARS in the past with great experience but I will never use again. First the technician said he couldn't find my home and rescheduled my repair for another week out. When I called customer service they said it was the customer that requested a change (not true). They said they would send me a $25 gift certificate to use for my repair (they lied again, because it was never received). Called the next day, twice. Once was hung up on, the second time, a gentleman said there were no notes about the gift certificate, but "SEARS would live up to their word, and send me one." (Lied again). Then the technician finally came, ordered my part (which never came because they had the wrong address even after confirming the correct address, twice). After speaking with customer service more than 5 times to get my money back, they only reimbursed me for the price of the part even though they promised over the phone they would reimburse me for my entire quote.
After all the lies I am not surprised by their...
Read moreI am extremely disappointed and upset about my experience. Chad, the repair person was there even 5 minutes before he broke off the copper part on the compressor that we needed to even test the compressor. He then apologizes and tells me I have a bad compressor that he just obviously broke off and released all the Freon and air pressure. How is it going to be diagnosed that I had a bad compressor before even checking it and actually physically breaking it? I want my diagnostic fee reimbursed asap. I didn’t call you guys to come over to break the compressor before doing any checks and the. Charge me for a broken part that your repair person broke before doing any tests. I was so upset that I just wanted him out the house. He had the audacity to quote me almost $2000 to repair the compressor he just broke and state that the computer board would have to be replaced as well. Which I knew had nothing to do with replacing a compressor. I have attached a picture of the broken part on the compressor. Please let me now how I can get my reimbursement for that 5 minute destructive appointment called...
