There are a few things I like to comment about the SacWest RV Park and Campground. Maddi is my hero for sure. My career is a constant shifting of locations and contracts. I was at the time slotted for a two-year contract in Gonzales, Louisiana. My company calls and says I need to be in West Sacramento in two weeks (early July) for six to eight months. Mid-Summer is hard to book a long-term RV spot with families vacationing and folks travelling. SacWest Is the only RV park around my jobsite for miles and it was ideal for me. I called up and Maddi answered and was not sure what the booking scheduled currently was and would have to get back to me to see if she could work something out. She sounded very optimistic and was very reassuring about trying to do whatever she could. An hour went by and Maddi called back with great news that she had found me a spot for the six months, but there was a big music festival in October, 2024 and I would have to probably find another place to stay for that time. That was a big bummer for sure because I work six days a week, 12 hours a day and could not imagine having to squeeze in a move or must put my RV in storage for a few days until the music festival was over. I did call around to other RV parks and they were all booked up for the music festival. I have now been at the SacWest RV Park and Campground for two weeks and Maddi calls me while Iām working and has great news that she was able to keep me in my RV spot while the music festival was happening in October. Once again Maddi saves the day! She is always around at the RV park to help out. Canāt thank you enough Maddi for taking all the stress off me and my wife from trying to find an extended stay spot in July and shuffling around things so I didnāt have to move for a few days in October. I can say she is a pleasure to talk to and is a very positive addition to the SacWest RV Park and Campground experience. When I arrived at my site there seemed to be a voltage issue and my power kept shutting off because of low voltage. We bought a voltage booster ($400 at Camping World) because we heard that it could help with the low voltage. This has not been the only RV park in Northern California where we have run into this voltage issue, so having our own is a good investment. Since then, I have had no low voltage issues. Thanks SacWest for letting us know there are power voltage boosters out there for purchase. Go into the office and say hello to Maddi. She always greets me with a smile and asks me how Iām doing. She also knows my space number because I check out so many movies. On that note, check out their movie selection. The large selection of movies is no joke! In conclusion, my stay here so far has been awesome. The folks are always ready to help. They are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The Wifi works great, the sites are pretty level, they have propane onsite, landryroom is always clean, and they do come around and pick up your trash. There is a Maverickās fuel station next door and shopping is just a couple minutes drive away. Once again...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould not return!!! Avoid at all cost!!! First of all the voltage was low. Around 115/116 always. They donāt care about their customers. Example: a guest needed a later check out due to cancer appointment with the doctor in Sacramento and was willing to pay an extra fee and move the camper to a spot without any hook ups. The lady at the main office said they cannot do that and they would need to pay an extra day at $84. Also they will charge your guests $5 a day to park. Even if the guest doesnāt stay the night. Only visiting! Your tow dolly connected to your rig, plus your car consist of 2-3 vehicles. Lol. Also they charge $529 a week if they will offer that to you and no monthly rates. Park is empty and poorly managed with rude staff and owners. Daniel was a decent fellow who takes care of the grounds. He was nice. Another Spanish young lady, was in the office and she was really nice but the older lady was absolutely unbelievable. I wouldnāt return there and spend a dime. Terrible. Absolutely no hospitality and they charge you for anything and everything. Donāt be late checking out at 12pm. They will try to hit your card for a late fee as well. This lady was 12:15pm pulling out and the office lady was complaining saying they would have to pay a late fee. Then there is goose and duck and bird poop all over everything and the grounds due to all the birds.š good luck with that rv park. It will Probably be a Walmart in the next few years. Owners donāt care anymore. Itās their last park and they act like it too. š Land lease is going to double and The owners are not happy. š stay at cal expo Rv park downtown. Itās quiet, nice, secure and you can stay for $850 a month all included but have to leave after that for 7 days. Then you could go back for a month....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreReally it's not even a one star. We arrived there on Wednesday but we were having trouble with our Dodge ram truck. So on Thursday morning we had to take it in to be fixed. We were told that our truck would not be ready until the following Thursday. We were scheduled to stay at the park until Monday. They were nice in the office and the manager was nice they said that we could keep our spot that we were in until Wednesday because they had someone else coming in. We were in a 50 amp spot. So we are paying $50 a day there. so come Wednesday morning we were told that we had to find somebody to move our fifth wheel out into their field because they needed our space that we were in. So we found somebody hook up our fifth wheel and move it out into the field which there was no service is out in this field but they charged us $45 a day there. So while we're out in this field no service A class a RV joined us they were having problems with the electrical in the spot they were in so they were moved out into the field and charged $45 so we only got five dollars back to be in the field! So now it's Thursday morning we get to go pick up our truck good thing I had my car also. A girl comes from the office and she tells us that if we don't leave by noon if they will charge us $10 an hour ! I was so glad when we could get out of there as fast as we could and we will never ever go back there are refer anybody to stay in that place! OH, the people who took our space was using only 30 amps! They had a number of spots open that...
