The Coast — Hotel in Westerly

We arrived at midnight after a three hour long drive, and were out by 4:30 am. I have seen other reviews about the acoustics of the place saying that you can hear everything, and they are not lying. The female in the next room woke up the manager at 4am to complain about our music.... that we were playing over the sound of her moaning! Ridiculous! We have to leave because this woman can’t keep her legs shut? she came outside yelling in cheetah print lingerie!!! No pants no shirt.. have some dignity at least throw a shirt on!! The people in the room on the opposite side of us has not one complaint about the music and said they couldn’t even hear it. This woman was being completely ignorant and WE were the ones that were told to leave by the unlikely old man who is not your friendly faced manager. He is not the kind heavily accented man you speak with on the phone, he is an old grumpy ungroomed man that saw a chick in lingerie and believed every word she said. Aside from that, we couldn’t even enter our room for 2 minutes because we were swatting all sorts of bugs away from the door so they wouldn’t get inside the room, which some did anyways. The rooms are nicely redone, but the cleanliness is minimal. there were odd short human head hairs scattered in random places on the white beds. The drawers were not clean, either. Overall, I will be getting a full refund for our “stay”, if you can even call it that. DON’T stay here! spend the extra money for a place with real respect and...

I didn’t get a stay because my reservation was canceled. I received a call at 10:30 pm while I was sleeping. Checked my message in the morning, the day I was heading to RI, called and was told the people who checked in last night wanted to stay 4 days so my reservation was canceled. This is what I need you to know .. RI is my favorite place to be! I took a last minute vacation from work because I was burnt out. I planned on going alone as I’m single and looked online for a place I could afford!!! Your place popped up on Travelocity with one room left and I was so happy to be able to book a place I could afford! Then you canceled MY reservation as if I didn’t even matter. You shouldn’t be able to do that. It’s unethical as a business. And that wasn’t fair to me at all. So, I’m staying home this week and hopefully I can take more time off in August so I can be back in my favorite spot of RI. I just won’t be...

5 stars for exceptionally accomplishing what it's trying to do. We weren't sure what to expect - could not find exterior pics. Perhaps they don't post because afraid it's modest exterior will turn people off. But nothing to be ashamed of - it IS a motel, but an exceptionally clean and we'll maintained one. Clearly recently remodeled and it looks real nice in and out. It is not a luxury hotel - if that's what you want, go somewhere else. But it was super cheap, convenient location, very clean. And, as someone who does stay in luxury hotels frequently for work, by far one of the most comfortable beds, linens, pillows I have ever slept...
