On Saturday May 17, 2025 we went into this Verizon store to switch our service from AT&T and upgrade five iPhones and four Apple Watches…we wanted to use the promo where Verizon pays off our old devices and gives us new ones. We couldn’t have made a bigger mistake if we tried…why can’t we give a no stars review yet? The people in this store and company itself are absolutely clueless. Unfortunately, we had Vinny as our sales rep who I thought could do his job correctly by the way he can talk, definitely not the case. He’s an idiot and got shipped out to another store not long after he screwed up our whole transaction. June 18, 2025 I text Vinny after not getting anything from Verizon about paying my AT&T bill. He tells me to contact Pat because he’s not in the Westerly store anymore. June 24, 2025 I started dealing with some guy named Pat, who supposedly is the manager of this store. He’s just another idiot who doesn’t have a clue on how to process our transactions or this particular Verizon promo. Keep in mind AT&T bill still not paid at this point. June 26, 2025 I did a chat session with Verizon only for them to tell me that they can’t do anything (surprise surprise) and that it needs to be handled in the store by the clueless representatives. June 27, 2025 I get a text from Pat that he submitted the AT&T bill, processed trades, issued credits…blah, blah, blah…all stuff that should have been done in May when we started this ridiculous process. July 8, 2025 I text Pat to see if he has an ETA for the card(s) so I can pay my AT&T bill because it’s already late now…he said he can check tomorrow. July 9, 2025 I text Pat again to let me know if he finds anything out. July 10, 2025 I check in with Pat again he says they are processing. He sends me a text so he can pull up my account and asks for my email. July 11, 2025 I text Pat to ask if I’m supposed to be getting an email from Verizon, he said I should be getting one in the next couple days. July 16, 2025 I text Pat no email yet. July 18, 2025 I text Pat to ask if he can check on this again. AT&T bill still not paid. He asks me to call Verizon to see what the issue is. I call Verizon, but I have to hang up because I’m at work. July 21, 2025 I’m on the phone with Verizon for 2 hours and 48 minutes explaining all this crap and waiting for “Alvin” to supposedly fix everything that the idiots in the store couldn’t do. Emailed my AT&T bill three more times. July 25, 2025 play phone tag with Verizon…supposedly the rebate department is going to call me back and take care of this. July 26, 2025 I group text Vinny and Pat to tell them how I really feel about them and this whole situation. Then Pat texts me back and somehow can miraculously offer to pay my AT&T bill…well, it’s a little late now buddy, I’m already paying on it now that it’s almost $1900.00 with the late fees. The moral of the story? DO NOT use this Verizon store at 224 Post Rd in Westerly, RI. DO NOT use Verizon at all if you can help it. Use any other carrier…there’s even a AT&T store right next door to Verizon at this location, go there instead. I should have...
Read moreThis store, and Bruno in particular, has a customer for life!...so I hope they both stay right where they are. He found my email to the employee who we dealt with on our first visit, that apparently was terminated earlier in the day. He took the time to find our contact info and called my wife’s phone and left a message...granted we were already on our way to the store, but I was impressed that with all the craziness he was dealing with that day, he still found the time to try to contact us. Once we arrived at the store and actually met with Bruno (which was immediately, by the way) he just continued to impress us. His product knowledge of not only the devices we were upgrading to, but the accessories to go with them, was second to none. Needless to say, we left very confident and satisfied with our purchases. Hopefully he is still there when we are due for another upgrade, because we will definitely be back to see him!
EDIT: 2/21/19 Of course we went back to this store to upgrade a couple of phones in my plan...unfortunately, Bruno is no longer there, but we still received world class customer service there and from David Minnich in particular. Pat, and the other employees at the Verizon Wireless Zone worked hard to find me the best deal and find a plan that fit me and my fiancé's lifestyle. We love our new 5G S21Plus Samsungs . And Pat saved me a bunch of money on my new plan. My fiancé and I both got new phones and a free one year subscription to Disney Plus. He even transferred all of our contacts onto our new phones and gave us all the tech support we needed. They also bought back our old phones and put the value towards purchasing our new phones. We also purchased new samsung smartwatches. We love them and they are a great way to stay fit and have hands free calling while on the job. The experience was quick and easy, the store was clean, everyone was wearing their masks.... hats off to them for keeping us safe and connected during this pandemic. This past summer I also went to them for a repair on my tablet screen after I busted it (that's how I found out about the Verizon Zone). They had the new screen ordered and the tablet fixed in a couple days. Best place to get a phone in Westerly - and if you break your phone, it's also the best place to get it fixed hassle free! 10/10. Ill be back...
