This was a campsite so bad that we decided it was better to eat the $35 and find a new place for our second night. It's doomed from the beginning being just 40 or so feet from freight train tracks. From the reviews, it looks like they consistently dupe poor people like my partner and me who don't look closely enough at the 1 star reviews to see this, but the train noise makes the tent camping sites are unusable and we even tried sleeping with earplugs in! I would not recommend staying here in a tent unless you have no other choice as you will get no sleep. Quiet hours were also not observed or enforced and our neighbors as they were playing music and getting drunk until 3am. One of the bathrooms also had no toilet paper, and considering it was Memorial Day weekend the owners never came by in person. I'm how those in RV's slept but I can't imagine it was much better. At $35 a night this is the biggest scam I've come across camping in a long time and the owners should be ashamed they sell tent camping in an area that looks like it used to be a day-use playground.

If you’re here and reading the reviews you’re ahead of the game. “Peekaboo” River view is an accurate statement. The River is not close. The site does state it’s not accessible and they are right. The cute little map does make it look like the River is right out your back door. It’s not. The TRAIN TRACKS are right out your back door. (They forgot to draw that on the cute little map) If you can sleep through anything then no big deal. If your wife can’t…BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE! Happy wife, happy life. The site was very clean. Easy to get in and get out. Very good directions. Just don’t break the rules…there’s ALOT of rules. And she’s on top of them. A very short visit from a friend (who left plenty of space on the drive for folks to get by) resulted in a knock on the trailer with an unpleasant directive to move. Bedside manner wasn’t to be found. Oh…did I mention there’s a train. A loud train. With whistles. Bring your sleep aids and earplugs.

Clean enough RV Campground. Noise was tolerable. The onsite manager was a problem. We pulled in after hours (5:30 PM) and tried to follow all the check in instructions with no luck. There was a sign outside the office that said to call or text a phone number with questions. I did this and the manager came out and chewed me out for parking our trailer prior to paying. I apologized and she continued to be very rude. The instructions said to pick a vacant spot from their outside board and then pay online. I tried that, it didn’t work. I was trying to pay so I texted. Big mistake!! If you decide to stay here make sure you don’t park before paying.

I've stayed in this park a few times and it is well cared for. The employees kindness and professionalism differs per person. The grass is nicely cut and cared for and services at the site have also worked well (water, electric, sewer). The only real drawback I have with this park is if one has medical problems, such as head surgery, heart problems, asthma, etc., there is no consideration of the park employees to let folks park reverse of the way they want vehicles parked for medical reasons. They are fairly merciless and make no excuses for having such unlevel spots in which to park. It seems to be their excuse that they don't need to have any sort of semi-level spots because it rains so much. Nice sounding excuse but that's all it is. Space #1 and upward in that row are abominable spots with one end of the parking space at least a foot lower than the other and one must have leveling devices and boards to level out the RV. The little plastic levelers one purchases to drive wheels onto would never get the vehicle level enough to not have problems if the sleeping portion of your RV is head toward the rear of the vehicle. Medical problems are not their problem, I understand that, but if you have any sort of medical problem and aren't 100% fit, this is probably not a place you want to stay. They have no compassion for anyone or any situation that doesn't fit their very unleveled parking spaces. They have the worst uneven parking spaces that I've ever encountered and I've stayed in a lot of parks. I don't mind paying for showers, though their prices are pretty expensive, more so than many another park I've stayed in, much less all the parks where showers don't cost anything. Their prices on their washer/dryer usage are high as well. A normal laundromat is cheaper. The trains didn't bother me at all, most of the time I couldn't even hear them. Nice park if you get the right spot and/or don't have medical problems. The park is there to do business, not take care of everyone in every situation, so this limits their ability to serve a fairly high segment of the populace. Not that they care, there are plenty of other customers who fit into their park just fine. Their goal, as for any business, is making money, and to stay in business they need to...

We are full time 7 years with an Entegra Anthem. Most our reviews are on RV Parky and vast majority are positive. To sum it up EXPENSIVE, NOISY, NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY, DIFFICULT TO GET TO AND RUDE. Stay on the Oregon side.|||| ||||When we pulled in it was tight but doable but no parking for our toad. The first night the person across from us generously offered us a parking space on their lot. The next night after a long day of hiking we came back and the nice neighbors had left and I parked the jeep in the same spot to unload. The host informed me that it could only be temporary. I asked if it was rented that night since I would move it immediately if rented. She said no but she would charge me for two sites anyhow and the past neighbor isn’t here and doesn’t own the park. I moved it to their gravel lot down the hill. Let’s be honest very few good RV places don’t have room for your toad and threatening me with a charge for two sites WHEN THEY ARE ALREADY CHARGING OVER $70/NITE is ridiculous. I expect at this price the toad will be parked close to the motorhome.|||| ||||Here are some other reasons I would not recommend this place: 1. Tight for big rigs, 2. Many sites no room for your toad, 3. Small sits squeezed between the road and the rail tracks (luckily the Anthem is well insulated from noise between the trucks braking down the hill and the trains its noisy), 4. No river access and 5. 25 cents per 2 minutes of shower (really?? Thought that was over in the 80’s) We have a nice bathroom and shower in the Anthem but the few RV places I have been who charge for showers are places I would avoid or if I made the mistake of booking was less than impressed. The other thing to be aware of with a big rig is how to get there. Coming from the east on 14 one very tight tunnel we got through but tight (we are 12’ 9”). To the west 5 tunnels on 14 and all tight (I like my ac units). From the south, you have the Hood River Bridge which is a disaster at 9ft wide (a mirror bender as detailed in other reviews – a definite no go). DO NOT GO ACROSS THE HOOD RIVER BRIDGE WITH A LARGE MH.||||Yes, it is full hook up and yes paved but tight, noisy, hard to get to and the host is clueless on how to handle customers. Stay in Oregon...

There are a few important pieces of information to know about this place if you are thinking of a stay here. A number of the sites are extremely close to a busy highway frequented by large diesel trucks (mostly timber trucks) that use air brakes and seemingly have no muffling system on their engines--all night long. On the back side of the property is a rail line which also is a source for noise pollution but certainly not as objectionable as the highway. If you do not ask specifically not to be located in one of these sites, they put you there and save the quieter sites for their regular customers or those in the know. Really, there is no sleeping in one of the highway sites even with ear plugs. We made our reservation 6 weeks in advance (going to a wedding in Hood river) but did not know to ask for a quiet site. When we complained bitterly the next morning after a sleepless night, they moved us to one of their quieter sites they were saving for those who might ask. (we were staying an additional 3 days). No apology from the owner, they just said they were a small property and the only rv park left in the area. It is a clean and well cared for business. However, it is a small, tight place with businesses on every side and the sites are right on top of each other. There is almost no space between spaces. Many of the regulars smoke and they smoke outside of their rigs. Their table and smoke will be right next to your rig. Also, you have to pay to use the showers!!--I haven't seen that since the Canadian provincial parks. The park is conveniently located and the bathrooms are the cleanest I have ever seen anywhere!! However, if you don't have to stay here, you like it quiet night and you don't like second hand smoke, maybe...
