For anyone that doesn't want to see a mouse, hopefully it is the last picture, and also stay far away from here! I am writing this at 6 in the morning because I heard rustling in the bathroom and thought someone was breaking in. Nope, it was a mouse! This isn't the first room a mouse has been in. I have been staying here for a while, been in multiple different rooms and on various occasions there have been mice. In room 1, there are bags shoved under the walls because I'm assuming they're cracked and exposed otherwise. These are just pictures of ONE ROOM, they all look like this, but this one is one of the worst. From my pictures, we can see a cracked window and tiles in the shower, the shower is also filthy and the showerhead leaks. The two lamps are two different ones, only one works. I should really say, only one lamp out of the THREE in here work properly. There is another lamp on the table that has to be adjusted perfectly for the bulb to turn on. We can also see the ceiling bulging from some sort of damage, and the panel is taped over. The fire alarm also looks like it won't work, I haven't seen it flash or do anything indicating it works. There were also stains on the one pillow, this has been the case in a few different rooms. If you want safety? This place is definitely hit or miss. Sometimes it's okay, other times there are people smashing bottles over other people's heads, breaking in, and breaking doors down and shattering glass. "Guests". I did not include the many minutes of videos I have of a woman next door to me wailing about threatening to kill herself and how her man is waving heroin in her face. Those two were running all over the parking lot and screaming at 1 in the morning one morning. There was another guy here who was constantly outside talking to himself, loudly saying that he wanted to kill everyone here and how he'd kill you if you called the cops, mind you he was saying this to nobody but himself. I could hear it from behind my closed door. These people all happened to be here at the same time, so you can imagine my fear, wanting to call the police on the couple but being afraid of what this other man might do just because cops were around. The walls are so thin that you can hear EVERYTHING, though there's something about this place that makes people fight all the time. Maybe it's the mice problem. The room I've been staying in, there's been fights next door almost every single night. There have been fights here between many different people for a long while. Customer service... You had a great person running the whole thing. Jen did a great job, as good as she could with all of the things you've left her to take care of. She is not security, and it should not be her job to call the police when she is going to YOU as an owner about an issue. You should be there. You fired a perfectly good employee who was always extremely friendly to me and others for something she didn't do. I've dealt with the owner's wife one time and the customer service just wasn't there. Honestly, the only good thing about this place was getting to chat with Jen for a moment, she seemed to be the only sane person here. I'm lucky enough that this room at least has outlets that will hold its plugs. In rooms 19, 9, 20, and 22, most if not all of the outlets would barely hold a plug. Would also like to add that I'm almost certain I had mice issues in every room, though I've only seen them in 19 and 1. The other rooms, I just hear rustling in the middle of the night and didn't see anyone breaking in, so I can only make that assumption. Needless to say, through all of this, I absolutely do not recommend you bring your children here, or anyone for that matter. I have had friends who wanted to visit me here and I told them no because I feared for their safety. I wish I was joking and being overdramatic. I could go on, but I'm running out of character limit here. I'm exhausted and fed up. This is not worth the money I've put into to stay here.

Dirty, unkept, pubic hairs all over unwashed bed linens. Sheets stuffed in a pillow case to make a pillow!! Food left in freezer black mold growing in shower. No seal around door so tons of cold air was rushing in. FILTHY isn't even the word. Taped light switches, ciggerett ashes all over when it was a nonsmoking room. Splattered substance all over walls, ceiling, nightstands and lamp shade. There was even a mouse running through the busted rusted nonworking baseboard heaters. This place is atrocious yinz should be ashamed!!!! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!! GROSS .... DISGUSTING ...... APPALLING!!!! This place has to be where junkies and prostitutes go. I'm ashamed to even admit I was here. Get your act together. The best part is there was an envelope saying my name is _____ I cleaned your room please leave a tip. ARE YOU SERIOUS?!?! Pee stains on the pillow that was there!! Dirty stained and unwashed wash clothes and towels!! And the bathroom heater didn't even work and the heater mounted on the wall was melted and burnt. UNSAFE!!!!

The facility is great, but DON'T ask for anything or the manager will be a real pain.||||Having worked in the motel industry, I understood what Four Flags was when I made the reservation - a low-cost motel. This typically means low-quality used furnishings, few amenities (if any), suspicious housekeeping staff, etc... You get the idea. The outside of the building seems to uphold that image. However, I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. The staff was warm and friendly upon check-in, and the rooms were very clean and well-furnished. I wasn't surprised or bothered by the lack of alarm clocks, the absent hair dryer, or the only-occassionally working wifi signal - those were to be expected. My wife and I checked in for a week and proceeded to enjoy a comfortable stay for five nights. Understanding the nature of weekly stays at motels, I only asked for housekeeping twice in those five days - mainly to replenish towels and toilet paper. This is where things began to go wrong apparently.||||On the fifth day, I asked for housekeeping a second time to get the towels replaced and the toilet paper replenished (knowing that A-it was low and B-we would be out nearly all day). When I returned briefly to drop something off just before lunch, the beds had been made nicely, and the towels were replaced. I didn't think to check the toilet paper as I didn't visit the bathroom at that time. When my wife and I returned at about 9:30 that evening, we found that no additional TP had been left for us. I called the front desk and found that everyone was gone for the night. The message provided a phone number to call in case of urgent after hours needs, so I called it.||||All I wanted was TP. I wasn't upset. I didn't want to complain. All I wanted was TP.||||What I got was a litany of accusations, hostilities, a near-shouting match over the phone, and over an hour of phone calls between myself and the manager.||||Call 1 - I called the "Urgent" number and got the voicemail. I hung up to double-check that I had called the correct number since the message did not indicate WHO or what I had called, simply the phone number.||||Call 2 - I left a message simply stating that the housekeeper that day had not left any additional TP, and I needed to know how to get ahold of some.||||Call 3 - The manager called me back (about 15 minutes after my second call). She had not checked my message and wanted to know what I had called two times for. As I began explaining, she was curt with me because I was talking "too fast" for her to write it all down. She then said she'd try to get someone out there and she'd call me back.||||Call 4 - The manager called back and proceeded to accuse me of A) requiring unrealistic service for a weekly stay (the first time I requested housekeeping, the housekeeper claimed the sheets were bundled and full of hair as if I wanted them replaced, which weekly guests typically only have done once per week), B) being unfair by THEN asking for toilet paper after hours. Literally, her exact question to me what "What is going on in that room?" This question was in the first minute of this particular call. When I tried to answer her accusations, she cut me off and told me to WAIT until she was finished. She was rude, hostile, and accusatory without any cause to do so. I wasn't complaining, threatening, or rude in ANY of my previous contact with her. When I began to give my answers, she interrupted ME. She suggested that her motel wasn't somewhere I wanted to stay, that I should perhaps leave which would be better for me and them, and that if a refund was necessary, so be it. Then, she hung up to confer with the housekeeper again.||||Call 5 - This time her demeaner was slightly less ruffled, but she was still attempting to lay the blame for the situation on me (apparently I should have requested the TP during normal office hours - which I thought asking for housekeeping in the room was such a request), was still angry that I had called, and tried to talk over me multiple times. I finally gave in to stop being nice and began talking over her as well. I'm good with angry callers from my years in the motel business, but I've never had the reverse situation. It is typically the customer who is angry, not the employee.... When the dust began to settle, I told her that I would be checking out the next day (remember what she suggested in the previous conversation). She informed me that there would be no refund, but she wanted to know what we were talking about now as we had moved past toilet paper, hairy sheets, and housekeeping (WHAT???). She then went into a 15-minute diatribe about how tired of this business she was, how few vacation days she's had in the past year, how she's an old woman, how this business is dying, how she's going to sell the property, etc.... Just a big pity-party to try (I guess) and appeal to my pity for her or to dissuade me from making a stink tomorrow.||||The front desk staff is ill-trained in how to take reservations, check customers in, and handle customer complaints. The manager is moody, not a people person, and inhospitable. The housekeeping staff apparently lies about the actions of the guests. The best thing about this place are the rooms (which truly are much better than expected for the cheapest motel in town).||||I'll never stay here again. I'll actively suggest people look elsewhere for somewhere to stay. AND, I'll be contacting the BBB about this place tomorrow - after...
