First time visiting the mother ship, although we've had several of their beers and enjoyed them. We stumbled onto Summer Fest and we were very impressed with how well they handled a large crowd.
Pros: Great beers with a healthy variety to suit many tastes.
Efficient system for pumping out draft beers by using a dedicated line and staffing up so draft orders could be taken and filled by one person, with another handling the cash register.
Food cooked onsite as well as a food truck!
A separate upstairs area, called the Loft, which was cooler in temperature than the downstairs because it wasn't open directly to the outside.
Excellent, well-trained staff who were all very pleasant.
Dog friendly without being overrun with dogs. Know this about me, I detest places where I have to dodge a dog everywhere I step. And don't get me started about having to dodge dog excrement! Did not happen here, so a huge plus in my book.
Bathroom situation is on point! When we first rolled up, I saw two portajohns outside and was ready to run for the hills. But there is a nicely sized indoor bathroom with full length doors! For this reason alone, it outranks almost every other brewery/brew pub.
Cons: Honestly, I can't...
Read moreLevity Brewing Co. in Indiana, PA is a micro-brewery offering a variety of uniquely crafted beer, ales, and soda-pops. The brewery serves up cold glasses of their craft brews in a variety of sizes, ranging from 5oz tastings to take-home growlers and kegs. At the time of my visit, multiple brews were on tap allowing for a fun tasting experience as I acted like a sophisticated beer critic. The ambiance and vibe created by the brick and aged wood covered walls only added to the enjoyment of my experience. The lack of smoke from cigarettes was hugely appreciated. Complimentary pretzels and hugs from the owners were a welcome addition. One suggestion I would offer is for some kind of noise or acoustic muting materials as conversations from all the patrons combined into a full symphony of sound. This is however a positive byproduct of the social interaction that Levity encourages. It was more than refreshing to see so many parties fully engaged with each other as cell phones were kept in pockets for the most part. Overall, I give Levity Brewing Co. of Indiana, PA four foamy pints of hoppy goodness out of five. Well...
Read moreMy wife and I feel blessed to have Levity in our region. We live in Clarksburg, 10 miles away. We do not entertain at restaurants often, however, when we do, we like to come to Levitys'! Here are our reasons: their brew selection; the quality of their product; food quality and selection; next to Hoodlebug Trail ( we walk with our dog ) and it works out perfectly for us!; the put put and driving range ( one of us takes the grandkids their while parents and one of us set outside, weather permitting and order/play cornhole ); the staff is friendly and engaging; it is our kids ( adults ) favorite place to gather when they come from Dormont and North Allegheny with their families to visit us! Just before the Pandemic hit, I was celebrating my birthday at Levity! The manager came to the table to do his perfunctory, " folks, how are things!" when he learned that it was my birthday.. ..he left and moments later returned with 2 bottles of Levity crafted beer and a hand full of chips to use on our visit or, next visit! It is service like this that brings people back! To say that we like Levitys' would be an...
