Stayed here over Christmas due to its close proximity to my family's home in Andover. I liked the idea of having a kitchen in which to cook breakfasts and save a little money.||||First things first: I assumed the room would have a Keurig machine, so I brought my own coffee pods. I would soon be completely bummed to learn that the room, instead, had a 4- cup Mr. Coffee that requires the small basket filter and ground coffee. Plan accordingly!||||We were in a King 1-bedroom suite #317. The stove is a two burner electric cooktop with a touchpad control system and safety lock. I couldn't figure out how to use it, so I called down to the desk using the landline on the nightstand. Fast busy signal. Phone didn't work. Mkay. Called the front desk on my mobile to ask how to use the stove; she told me she would send someone up to show me. Not sure why she couldn't just tell me over the phone, but whatever. The person she sent never actually showed up, so I figured it out myself. You have to hold down the button w/the key icon for a few seconds to turn off the safety thing, then you have to hold down the power button to turn it on, they you hit the plus sign for the burner to the desired heat you want. But cook fast, because that safety feature will kick in and the stove will shut off as you're cooking. ||||This room did not have some fairly important tools: no spatula, no tongs, no ice trays. The stove is situated literally right up against the left side of the fridge, so it's hard to use if you're right-handed - not a lot of space to move your hand around. The one frying pan was stainless steel and disgusting. I had to scrape off burnt bits and scrub it to get it clean enough to use. Not really non-stick. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher; I didn't use it, though, I hand washed the dishes and used it as a drying rack. ||||As for the rest of the room, the king bed and pillows were super comfy, the room in general was clean. They give you full bottles of Dove brand shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower. ||||All in all, the stay was fine - it's not like we hung out here all day - we only slept here and ate breakfast. The rest of the time, we were gone. I will probably try a different property next...
Read moreWe stayed at this hotel for over a week while my boyfriend was working in Wichita. The stay was decent enough, however, after checking out he realized he had left 4 of his work shirts, as well as his safety vest, hanging in the closet in the room. I called the hotel right away, less than 2 hours after checking out, giving them the name, room number, and explaining we had just checked out, and he had left those things behind., adding that I would happily give my credit card information in order to have them mailed to us. The front desk clerk told me she would check with housekeeping and call me back....she never did. I proceeded to call the hotel twice a day for the next 4 days, getting the run around each time. A couple of weeks later, he just happened to be passing through Wichita, and decided to stop in and inquire again about his belongings. The clerk immediately pulled up the information in the computer, and said she could see the notes from each time we called....along with the note that housekeeping HAD THROWN HIS THINGS AWAY! Departed less than 2 hours when we made the initial call and housekeeping had already disposed of his belongings??? And then everyone proceeded to give us the run around, rather than be honest??? Incredibly unprofessional way of doing things. We...
Read moreTLDR: No crib sheets, unsafe bedding solution was offered and manager did not get back with me. Also, the spare bedding in the closet was covered in gross stains and not cleaned. Stayed at this hotel for one night. Emailed the manager and never received a reply to address my concerns. We made a reservation with the front desk the day before our stay and asked that a crib be set up in our room. We arrived about 6pm and it wasnt in the room. The front desk staff was very apologetic and did her best to get it all up to the room but she was also very busy and said that there was a note on the room that the cleaning staff didnt read that asked for the crib. When the crib arrived and we set it up, there were no sheets for it. The staff said that the hotel doesnt have crib sheets and offered a solution that was not sufficient to make a safe bedding situation for a baby. I emailed the manager 3 days ago about this and never heard back. Had they responded, i wouldnt be leaving a review as it was a sufficient room at a good price. They need to tell people placing reservations that they dont offer safe baby bedding. Also the extra bedding was quite gross. The front desk changed it out for us and we got...
