First off. Coffee and the ice cream and coffee mixes are phenomenal! I really wanted to get another before leaving last night. I'm from Tx, but lived in wichita until I was 10. So I travel back every so often to visit family. I loved the touches of joy land throughout the shop. It really brought me back to some great memories of my childhood. The kids got the choclate and cinnamon icecream, and they were absolutely delicious. My sister and I got the C&B classic and Macchiato ice cream coffes, and my sisters husband got and iced coffee. All of which was so freaking good! I loved being able to see them mix up our beverages with there concoction station. Lol! My only complaint was of one staff member who was quite rude. She was annoyed when a question was asked about one of our coffees, and then I went up to see if I could get a coconut chai before leaving, not realizing it was 11:10, and she was annoyed that I even asked. I understood and asked what time they open the next day and she said 11. I just kindly said oh man I have to head out early tomorrow for texas. She looked at me and snarkily said "aw sorry" and turned away. So over all great coffe just ran into a staff member who was rude and obviously not even happy being there. Read moreI try to support local businesses so for the past 2 years I’ve been purchasing gift cards from Churn and Burn to give out for the holidays. I purchased them online and went to pick up at the store. I was informed by the person behind the counter that 1. They don’t offer gift cards online (?) and 2. They are out of them. I asked about a refund. She took my name and number and said the manager was supposed to be in at 2pm and would call me. Well, about 6 hours later I hadn’t heard anything so I called the store. I spoke to the manager and he said that it was going to be refunded. I guess what disappoints me is the lack of communication and courtesy. No one emailed or called to let me know my order wasn’t able to be fulfilled and then didn’t follow up after I stopped in to pick them up. No apologies for the miscommunication or anything. Read moreI went in with my mom and five of my nieces. We were in the store for about 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. The girl behind the counter seemed annoyed that she had customers. She just kept telling us how stressed she was after she finally talked to us. She finally took my order and gave the kids their scoops of ice cream. However, she walked away and my mom didn't get to order who was with us. Mine came out about 20 minutes after the kids got theirs. We remained pleasant about the experience. However, it was very disappointing. The ice cream was good but not enough to deal with that whole thing again. There definitely should be more than one person behind the counter at all times.
