Hilton Garden Inn Sonoma County Airport — Hotel in Windsor

Booked here last minute when we were not able to stay with family as planned. All the staff were extremely helpful and empathetic - we ended up really enjoying our stay here, even though it started as an emergency back-up plan.|After a 12 hour flight and 2+ hour bus ride from SFO, the hotel shuttle picked us up at Sonoma Cty airport (driver Carlos was prompt and helpful with the bags). We were greeted at the front desk by Sandra and would like to praise her for her empathy and care. We were very tired and stressed out and she made us feel calm and welcome. The manager Erin was also extra helpful during our stay, asking if there was anything she could do to help us out.|Our 3rd floor room was quiet and spacious. Although the decor is a little bit dated, everything was very clean and well-maintained. We slept well and were very comfortable.|The hotel restaurant offered a nice breakfast (thanks also to the attentive breakfast attendant and friendly chef who were pleasant even at 6:30am), with either a buffet or cooked-to-order options. The food was above our expectations and there was plenty to choose from. They also offer lunch, dinner and drinks which is handy as there is not too much in the immediate area. There's also a convenience shop on premises for snacks as well as a free coffee/tea station. The area is quiet (office park and movie theater next door) and we didn't hear any noise from the airport. The free parking is well-lit and directly in front of the hotel.|We didn't have a car for the first couple of days, but were able to get into downtown Santa Rosa using the SMART train. The station is only about 10 mins walk away and it's very cheap and convenient to get to Santa Rosa or Petaluma among other places. We really appreciated being able to get around without a car and were happy to have SMART as an option.|Other plus points at this hotel are the well-equipped business center with printers, which helped us with the reorganization of our disrupted trip. There's also an indoor pool and a small but nice gym. It's really a full service hotel with everything you need. I would definitely stay here again.|Finally, I really would like to once again commend the staff - everyone we dealt with at the hotel was very helpful and friendly. We really appreciated this!! Three Family couples from out of town were attending a Windsor police academy graduation today and had the great pleasure to have chosen the Hilton Garden Inn for overnight and Bodega banquet room accommodations. A fourth couple arrived in a small motorhome(thats us) and were cheerfully granted permission to park overnight.|The desk staff Florina and Sandra were so kind and respectful...Thank you ladies...|The inside and outside areas are gorgeous as in Garden like.. The bartender Natasha moved us and brought our drinks to the fireplace seating area for warmth...and checked very frequently on our needs. Thank you so much Natasha...Excellent, excellent service.|The graduate was booked to stay overnight tonight...and when he chose to cancel very late past the grace period the desk was so kind to allow the cancelation without charge.|We all were able to fit into the shuttle van that took us to a local place to dine. and returned to pick us up after the meal. I'd like to thank the staff who took great care of my daughter and grandkids while they were there this weekend. I live in Texas and my daughter lives north of Santa Rosa. She wanted to have a special birthday trip to Santa Rosa and spend time with her 2 kids so paid for a roo. Her kids are 13 and 9. We chose this location because they have an indoor pool and because it's a Hilton so we know they would have an incredible time. There was a movie theater nearby. They also were able to get their nails done while they were there. But mostly THE POOL! The kids were up at 6 for breakfast daily and then wanted to jump in the pool. There were other kids and I FaceTimed them while at the pool and everyone was having so much fun. It was winter and a great activity to do indoor since it was cold and rainy outside. They had an amazing sleep in the comfy beds and quiet, large rooms. They were able to eat breakfast and also take some up to their room. Delicious breakfast with tons of choices. Thank you Hilton for bringing lasting memories to my daughter and grandkids. Maybe this can become...
