It's been a long time coming, but I am finally leaving a review for this place. 2 years ago I took my girlfriend on a hot air balloon ride (Wine Country Balloon Tours, to whom I would give 5 stars!) for her birthday. Afterwards we chose to eat at this place...and to this day, it still ranks as the worst dining experience I've ever had. We figured, a simple breakfast for the both of us, it'd be kind of hard to screw that up... I ordered the "country favorite", along with some pancakes -- the pancakes were not appetizing whatsoever (I make better at home using Aunt Jemima), and the eggs were grossly undercooked (I ordered over-easy) and tasteless, and the bacon was nothing special and might as well have been microwaveable. I stopped eating halfway through, which is unlike me. My girlfriend ordered a ham & cheese omelette, advertised with a "cheese sauce". Instead of using a freshly made creamy sauce made of real cheese, they threw what had to have been Cheese Wiz, or its equivalent, on top of it! No, we weren't expecting a 5-star restaurant quality cheese sauce. But this was simply cheap, and flat out disgusting. She stopped eating as well, not even halfway through. (Mind you, we are not food snobs -- we love ourselves the occasional iHoP or Denny's.) But the worst part of this place was the service: absolutely terrible, and the worst I have ever experienced to this day. The lady serving me (I'd place her in her late 40's to mid-50's, brown or black hair) did not make eye contact with me once, or speak one word to me aside from taking my order. I don't ever throw this out there, but that was the first -- and only -- time I feel like a restaurant server gave me a racist vibe... To hell with this place. Perhaps management has changed over the last 2 years since my experience and certain people were removed. But I'm not giving them the benefit of the doubt. If you're in this area, just grab something small to eat at the Starbucks across the...
Read moreThis is a wonderful Café/Diner that is convenient for out of towners like me when landing at Santa Rosa Airport, or before departure. At the junction of Airport Blvd and the 101, this restaurant has never let me down. I've been visiting for years now, most recently this week, and I'm finally leaving a long overdue review. The breakfast plates are large, with tasty pancakes, French toast fresh eggs and the bacon trips are nice and thick. When I asked the waitress, she says they pay more for this type of bacon, and it's well worth it. BLTs are delicious and I've also enjoyed the Taco and Cobb Salads. In addition to sit-down dining, you can also buy cookies, pastries, and to-go cappuccinos, espresso, and a variety of coffees at the front counter. The wonderful coffee choices puts this restaurant at a higher caliber than a regular café. The environment is welcoming and comforting, with carpeting and comfortable booths. The wait staff are friendly, funny, and always helpful in suggesting a choice if asked. Also family friendly, your children will be pleased with the many choices. I hope the people in Santa Rosa appreciate...
Read moreA++ Food & Service. I’m glad we came! We are from out of town and the restaurant we intend to go to wasn’t open. I looked up places to get breakfast near by and found Kaffe Mocha Grill.
Don’t let anybody dissuade you due to comments on decorations, the food was A+ and could have been in any Napa valley high end restaurant.
Everything is fresh. The coffee is superb. The smoked Baccon’s is thick. They crack their own eggs, whereas most places use premixed carton eggs. Everyone at my table was satisfied with their meals.
The servers are friendly & dedicated staff who were willing to ensure that we were comfortable & had everything that we needed.
It’s true that the booths need some attention and a revamp could boost the atmosphere but for us delicious food & friendly service are more important. Kaffe Mocha Grill has heart.
As tourists who went out to eat at many restaurants this week this was our favorite, and I’m looking forward to stopping in again next time we are in the area.
Note: They are dog friendly with an...
