I took my husband here on a surprise Fathers Day/Anniversary overnight trip. Caleb is the caretaker of the Inn. This inn is just gorgeous and spotlessly clean. Every detail is very thought out and prepared for you. Our room was the Clover, on the main floor. We got a call a few days before from Caleb, just to chat about food allergies or anything else we needed for our stay and to go over the check-in procedure! Super thoughtful. The Inn itself is so conveniently located, on the main street of Etna, you can walk to everything you want to do, easily. Upon our arrival, there was a handwritten card for us. Our suite was GORGEOUS. The bedding was heavenly. The bathroom was huge and every part of our suite was on point. The living area was like stepping back in time, the dining room was so inviting and even had a beautiful coffee area available to us with all the necessities. The kitchen was just so beautiful, we used the fridge and freezer for a few of our things. The grounds are so beautiful. Lots of patios and seating areas and lighting and grass and a big pond with bridges. So many wonderful trees, flowers and birds. We sat on the patio all alone and had a bottle of wine and just listened to the wind and the birds, before our walk to dinner at Denny Bar. Sunday morning, Caleb and his lovely wife showed up with bags of groceries to make us a BEAUTIFUL buffet breakfast! Eggs, bacon, a fresh HUGE loaf of sourdough bread from the bakery in town, fresh fruit, fresh REAL yogurt, granola... it was all just amazing. They do so much to make you feel at home and welcome and comfortable to roam around the main floor of the house. Your door to your room is very secure with a lock system, which we appreciated. The owner also called us after we arrived which was very impressive. He was very kind and said to make sure to call or text him if we couldn't reach Caleb, who just so happens to also be a volunteer fire fighter, so he did get called away briefly and they all wanted to make sure that we knew one of them was available 24/7. We HIGHLY recommend you stay - you will want to come back! We cant wait for...
Read moreI enjoyed a 4 night stay at the Bluebird Inn. The family served a delicious breakfast buffet to the guests on Monday (since Farmhouse Bakery is closed on Sun/Mon). The Aspen suite was clean and lovely. The queen bed was very comfortable with bright, white linens. It was so nice having an en-suite bathroom. The entire suite is spacious and charming. The common rooms are decorated with quiet elegance in mind. So many relaxing outdoor spots to enjoy around the house and on the grounds. It was wonderful having A/C to make for a a comfortable stay and a great night’s sleep. The Inn is close to downtown and yet somewhat secluded. The staff is quiet, friendly and very attentive to your needs. I didn’t get a chance to put one of their cute bikes to use but I hope to next time. Do yourself a favor and book a stay at this...
Read moreCaleb is a life saver! I am thrilled see this beautiful place is still serving the traveling community. Our moto crew arrived in Etna after a long day of riding the local NorCal backroads, we had a few beers and dinner at Etna Brewing then made our way to a local hotel where we had reservations. After realizing the rooms we booked were for the next night, I called up the Bluebird (after hours), and Caleb was gracious enough to answer the phone and provide us with lodging in the Hiker’s Hut on short notice. We have stayed in the hut several before and absolutely love it! Thanks again Bluebird for going the extra mile to help us out on short notice! PS the complimentary breakfast was out...
