The Avery Memorial Theatre — Attraction in Etna

The Avery Theater is a wonderful place to see community and school plays, in addition to travelling shows and the occasional date night movie. The historic building is beautiful, and is a credit to the hard work the Scott Valley Theatre Company does to keep it running. When putting on shows there, I have found the staff to be delightfully helpful and extremely professional for such a communty establishment. I love the Avery. Lisa's mood setting piano was perfect preface to Casablanca. I quickly realized had never seen it on the big screen. i was riveted to the flow of detailed ambiance creating context for the plotline. The paternalistic conclusion did not diminish my delight in seeing this screening. Only thing missing was Robert Osborne presenting. I brought an extra coat to this notoriously cold in winter theater- which - SURPRISE - I didn't need. Kudos to the board, past and present. Looking forward to...
