This hotel is neither at a noble area of the city, nor together with any stunning touristic atraction. It has got no extra luxury and it has not any additional spice either.||Nevertheless, it is usually a perfect bennefit-cost relationship. I have stayed there for three times, got some bargains, by negotioating directly with the front desk (last time was tougher) and it's all decent.||The bedroom has the basic, must-have items: air-conditioning, small fridge, TV (cable? I can't recall, I think it does), phone, safety box (you have to use the key/locker given at the reception - I've used it at all times, no problems at all), good space, toilleteries and closet. Never used Wi-fi there, but they got a desktop with free internet in the lobby.||The big deal about it, besides its delicious breakfast, with some fruits, 3 or more types of breads, and the well fixed sweets they serve, is the fact it is a block away from the Tres Cruces national bus station, where a regular shopping mall is located, with a cheap supermarket installed. You can head to Punta del Leste and Colonia taking their first buses early in the morning and coming back late at night on the last buses around 11 p.m. - it's just an hour and a half from Punta and 2 hours and a half from Colonia del Sacramento. Both cities worth sleeping overnight, but can have some salty prices, more that double, with less comfort, of Tres Cruces Hotel's.||Besides, it's just a 20 min walk from the Congress and a 25 min walk from Antel's tower, Uruguay's highest building. You should walk within the hotel neighbourhood to get there, they can be seen from your bedroom, depending on the façade you've been checked-in. There is another supermarket towards this direction, 5 min from the hotel.||If you want to get to Citadela, the historical area downtown, it's a 25 min walk and 10 min by bus.||Beaches and the two other shopping malls of the city are about 15 min by bus.
