The resort can be broken down into three section: The Hotel, The Waterpark and The Beach. I would recommend booking the one that include the breakfast as it has the most value. I booked the one that included everything which I don't recommend you to do. For the Waterpark and Onsen you can just purchase it separately as it only cost 300k vnd/each person per day. Kid below 6 is free.
The Hotel: Room: I booked the Premium Deluxe Double Panoramic Ocean View which is 90m2 so it's very spacious. The room was clean and neat. You kinda have your own "Onsen" on the balcony as well. The balcony and the bathroom are very spacious as well. The bed however is not to our liking since it's not comfortable and it's being put together by 2 beds so you will feel that line in the middle, which is annoying when you're sleeping on the bed. The bed however is very spacious. Would be great if the bed are more comfortable. Bed I would give 2/5 and room is 4/5 since they don't have the iron to iron your clothes. Overall experience a 3.5/5 since I kinda like the room except for the bed as it is a disappointment.
Facilities: There are many facilities in the hotel so you can just enjoy your stay here as well the pool on the roof so it's very relaxing. On the fourth floor there is outdoor area that you can enjoy the scenery as well. A 5/5 stars from me.
The Hotel has its own Waterpark infront which close at 18:00 because they say they can't guarantee the safety after that. I find this outdoor Waterpark is dirty, at least when I was there. Both the pool and the chairs. If you have kids around 5+ they probably would love it here because of the kid Waterpark section. A 3/5 since it's dirty and the life guard there has blind spot.
The Waterpark: They close at 19:00. The floor is very uncomfortable and it hurts just to walk around barefoot. There are about 3-4 different section so you would be done trying them out quite fast. Since the floor is so uncomfortable and it hurts your feet, you probably don't want to be in there that long. The Onsen is on the fourth floor. It's pretty but apart from that there's nothing special about it. I just find it as if you were to bath in warm water unlike those natural spring bath. The food on the fourth floor is so so, the food on the first floor tastes a bit better. On the third floor there's the relaxing room and the kid playground. The second floor is the arcade. A 2/5 star given how underwhelming the Waterpark is.
The Beach: It's pretty and nice, they have seats on the water and it feels comfy. There's also a restaurang here as well. A 5/5 stars since I kinda like it here. The looker however are all rusty so you won't be able to use them, better leave everything at the hotel.
Staff: 5/5 stars, super friendly and helpful.
Payment: 1/5 stars. I kinda dislike the payment system. When reserving they charge 0 vnd but I still have to input my card and sign it. On the day of the deadline they would send a link asking for advance payment or the reservation would be cancelled. They offer 2 solutions: The first one is a direct link to pay using the card, the second is direct transfer which is only "available for Vietnamese citizen". This is like asking for scams imho not to mention the mail are automatically moved to spam folder, so if you are someone who doesn't answer unknown call then you might be without a reservation on your arrival. Not to mention the link to the first option might not work.
Overall I would give it a 3/5 stars because of the payment system, the underwhelming Waterpark and the average bed. If you just want to experience it once go ahead and give it a try but if you're after good bang for your buck then this place might not be for you. Just don't...
Read moreI am trying to be as honest as I can with this review. In summary, this is a great hotel if you have kids that love water parks and swimming, they will have a blast! We have a five year old who loves water, and to him, this place is amazing. We spent four nights here and we bought a Bronze family pass for the water world, and we got a sea view room which is very spacious with plenty of space to move around. Below are pros and cons of this place, to which I hope will be helpful for people considering staying here.
Pros Big spacious room, over 1000 sq. feet, nice sea view, separate bath and shower with bathtub on the balcony . Waterworld and amount of pools around this place is great for kids. Indoor water world also has multiple floors with a decent indoor play area for kids, and a nice hot spring On San. Outdoor water park is free for hotel guests. There is also a nice infinity pool on the 22nd floor. There are many pools in the resort, the river pool and the pool by the ‘Fuji mountain’ Good beach and facilities around it. The beach area is a buggy ride away if you don’t feel like walking over urself. It is across the street but owned and operated by the hotel. The beach club is a hot destination for locals as well with nice infinity pools. Water on the beach front is clear and clean. Sunset is beautiful as well. The beach club has lots of events, live shows sometimes and DJ with good music. Very lively but not a place for a romantic quiet night. Friendly staff. Staff do not have speak the best English but of the times we have been to Vietnam I think it’s pretty standard. People are friendly, always smiling, but it does take a bit of patience to communicate via English unless you are speaking to the receptionist. Good massage at the An Spa. Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised at how good the massage was at the spa. Vietnam is not known for its massage (unlike Thailand) but we enjoyed our massages very much. Pressure was very good, strong but not without skills, ambience was nice and I loved the relaxing oil.
Cons Poor soundproof. When there is loud music outside you can hear it in the room. We were on the 12th floor maybe higher floor would be better. But the good thing is that it’s never too loud late into the night. Poor internet. WiFi was very unstable. Sometimes it simply didn’t work. Of the times it did work, signal was poor. Impossible to stream anything not get on a video call if you want to work from the hotel. Substandard cleaning. There were sands in our bed until we asked them to change everything. Uncomfortable bedding and towels. We got a room with ‘king size’ bed but it was two twin beds pushed together so there was this slit in the middle. I know this was the case back in the days but this report is relatively new and I found it surprising they don’t have proper king beds. Mattresses are just ok, not much support to the back. Towels are also not five star hotel standard, materials are thin and kinda of coarse. Restaurant quality non five star standard. There are lots of varieties at breakfast, but quality is just ok. Location is a bit remote. It’s not the best of location as everything in the city is about 15-20 min ride away. But I mean this is a water park resort so we are not really complaining. Do have Grab handy, cars are readily available. I think the hotel also has shuttle services although we...
Read more⚠️ Extremely Disappointed – This Is NOT a 5-Star Experience ⚠️
I recently stayed at Mikazuki Resort and Spa in Da Nang, which aggressively markets itself as a 5-star Japanese resort. Let me make one thing absolutely clear: this is NOT a 5-star hotel by any international standard, and my stay was a massive disappointment.
Let’s start with first impressions: the interior design and lobby are admittedly stylish and well-presented. At a glance, it gives off a luxury vibe. However, that illusion quickly shatters the moment you look beneath the surface—literally.
🧼 Mold and Filth in the Bedroom and Bathroom
When I got to my room, I was shocked to find visible mold around the bedroom and especially in the washroom. We're talking about mold on the caulking, around the edges of the walls, and in the corners—completely unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one claiming 5 stars. Mold is not just unsightly—it's a health hazard. Either the cleaning staff is not trained to handle this, or management is turning a blind eye to a major hygiene issue.
🛏️ False Advertising: The "King Bed" Lie
Next up: the bed situation, which was outright deceitful. They advertised a king-size bed, but what I actually got was two single beds awkwardly pushed together and covered with a single sheet. The middle seam was incredibly uncomfortable, and it was impossible to sleep without feeling the separation. To make matters worse, the mattress was rock-hard, clearly cheap or worn out, and honestly felt second-hand. I’ve stayed at budget hotels with better beds than this. Calling this a king bed is false advertising, and it's disgraceful for a hotel that charges luxury prices.
💰 $20 Fruit Platter Scam
I also made the mistake of ordering a fruit platter, assuming I’d get something decent for the $20 USD I paid. What I received was a ridiculously tiny plate with six thin slices of fruit—no exaggeration. This is what you’d expect from a hotel minibar for maybe $4, not from a high-end restaurant menu. A complete rip-off that added insult to injury.
🙋 Excellent Staff Trapped in a Subpar Hotel
Now to be fair, the service staff was excellent. The workers were polite, attentive, and responsive. They did their best with what they had—but no amount of courtesy can make up for the fact that this hotel is fundamentally misrepresenting itself.
✨ The Verdict: Don’t Be Fooled by Appearances
Mikazuki Resort and Spa is trying hard to look like a 5-star resort, but it is all surface-level polish and no substance. Mold in the room, a bed setup that would be unacceptable even in a hostel, outrageous pricing for poor quality food, and misrepresentation of room features—this is not luxury. It's deception.
If you are looking for a real 5-star experience, look elsewhere. This hotel might impress at first glance, but it falls apart the moment you actually try to use what you’ve paid for. Until serious changes are made to maintenance, bedding, honesty in advertising, and pricing, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone.
1/5 stars – and only because of the good staff.
Room that was booked. " panoramic sea view with " king "...
