“Beautiful white sandy beach in DaNang” We stay a week, today is the fifth day. We love this resort so much. We love it from first sight! It is like just 20 minutes from DaNang Airport. It locates just on the edge of the bustling beach town areas of Da Nang so it is very quiet and clean. From the main road, you have to go through a quite thick shady woods to get to the main lobby, so from a very sunshine city road you feel immediately relaxed and calm even before you reach the lobby. Check-in is smooth and standard as at any hotel in the room. The lobby is quite big and adjacent to a buffet area which is very much oriental style. An open air space and very comfortable and cool and full of fresh air. After checking, the staff will drive you and luggages to your beach front bungalow through large lawn and trees again. The room is not too big but inclusive. Open the glass door at the other side of the room, the ocean singing nicely in front of your eyes, your lungs are immediately full of fresh air! Love this moment so much. Well, after few nights, I must say the resorts did show some aging signs but in mho, they have tried very hard to keep it maintained well. As so said, most of equipment and amenities are old and out of date. For instance, I felt the hair blower was made like some 20 years ago lol. Nevertheless they all function well so far. The breakfast place is also the only local and western dining in the resorts. There is another Indian restaurant which serves Indian food so I guess there are many Indians in the resorts even I rarely saw any Indian during my days here. The breakfast is decent, very typical American and nothing significant I must say. But they are quite tasty and always replenished at a right time. They offer different types of dinners on different days but we haven’t tried yet. We often go out to tour the city and dine outside. Da Nang is such a great place for diners I am sure. Maybe we will try their dinner tonight :) Finally, the beach is absolutely amazing! All must love it! There’s huge white sandy beach that you can only find in tropical places like this. The water is warm as April and early May is not that hot yet. Most of the swimmers are resorts guests, so lots of privacy lol. There are 1-2 standing guards presented all the time at the beach and the nearby pool. There is another pool at the other end of the resort but we didn’t go there. Tips: try to book the beach front villa or rooms. You wont regret it. Every morning, you can be waken up by the sounds of millions waves just next to your door :) Pro: good value for money (or maybe it’s because we booked like 3 months in advance), very quiet, very clean, right next to your private beach, old but well maintained and served Cons: - less choice of dinning in-hotel - Need improvement on room amenities and equipment Tips: try to book on normal days, not on very special holidays in Vietnam. The first 4-5 night were great because it was before Vietnam biggest holiday in 50 years, most guests are not local. Since last night locals flocked to this beach city and the resorts are full. At breakfast this morning, it became very noisy because locals calling each other across the hall, kids are screaming and some rude persons broke in the line at food table to steal your order. I don’t know why they all appeared very fierce in the morning of their holidays. Recommendation to the hotel management: perhaps putting up some more rule signs around the hotel would help. For instance: - Please keep quiet and respect other guests - Please queue nicely at the food and drink kitchens - Please do not litter etc. Overall, I am really enjoying my stay at Sandy Beach Resorts and would definitely come back when I have time. I would give it 9.5 out...

We had a terrible experience at this hotel from the very beginning. The night before check-in, we visited the hotel, selected a room, and confirmed it with the receptionist. However, the next day, we were assigned a completely different room. When we pointed out the mistake, the receptionist Thanh Tam insisted it was our room and refused to change it. Only when another staff member from the previous night intervened did we finally get the room we originally chose. To make matters worse, despite being told we couldn’t check in until 2 PM, another guest who arrived after us was checked in immediately. When we questioned it, Thanh Tam simply shrugged and told us to wait because the room wasn’t ready—even though we knew for a fact that the room was ready the night before at around 8 or 9 PM. The only reason it wouldn’t be available would be if another guest had checked in late at night, which would have made sense. But no, the room was still considered ready according to their own system. And when we confirmed again with the staff member from the night before—the same one who eventually gave us our original room—she let us check in immediately.Thanh Tam’s attitude completely ruined our stay. She was unnecessarily rude at check-in, for no reason at all. Why did she make us wait an hour when our room was clearly ready? Why did another guest get to check in immediately, while we were made to sit there and wait? What was the issue with us? It was beyond frustrating.Once inside, the issues continued. The bathroom had a leak, the TV didn’t work, and the bedsheets were stained. When we asked about the stains, housekeeping casually told us it was “normal.” On top of that, the hotel is old and poorly maintained. We specifically booked a beachside room to enjoy the waves, but every morning at 5:30 AM, motorbikes roared down the beach, making it impossible to sleep. The door to our room didn’t close properly, so every time someone opened or closed a door in the building, ours shook. We had to wedge toilet paper in the frame just to keep it from rattling. The worst part was checkout day. At 7 AM, loud construction or something started above our room, waking us up. Then, after breakfast, we returned to find our shower wasn’t working. Despite multiple complaints, the issue wasn’t addressed until nearly 12 PM. By then, staff rudely reminded us we needed to check out soon—completely ignoring the fact that the problem was on their end. Eventually, they offered us another room just to take a shower, but only after making us wait hours with no solution. This was one of the worst hotel stays we’ve ever had. The hotel itself is already in bad condition, but Thanh Tam’s attitude made everything worse. Her rudeness and unprofessionalism completely tainted our experience. Definitely would...

First impressions were good. Beautiful lobby area, friendly reception staff. We had to wait for the room as it wasn't ready at 13.30, fair enough. Room (Premium Suite) was being 'prepared' for us. Buggy to room (very friendly chap) and things seemed fine at first, stunning view.||However, not long before we started noticing things were not as they should be. ||1. Fridge mini-bar was empty and stank. Didn't seem to have been in use for a long time. It was filled but not cleaned. We ended up having to wash water bottles in the sink as everything was smelt contaminated. |2. Rainwater shower. The diverter system from one function to another was stuck fast. Never fixed.|3. TV in living area had sound only. Reported but never fixed. |4. Safe was an antique. |5. Balcony door so stiff my wife could not open it, fixings rusty.|6. Guesswork as to which plug sockets work.||Once you notice the odd thing you can't help but spot other things around the hotel. Everywhere you look things are either broken or on their last legs, swimming pool with lots of tiles missing, garden walls close to falling over. ||The general term to describe this hotel would be 'tired and uncared for' but not the gardens and grass, these were very well cared for.||The few staff in the restaurant were out of their depth, lovely but lacking training or supervision . Too few for even the small number of customers. I don't want to see staff running from table to table panicking. Each order had something wrong, they didn't even have order pads! Waitress searching pockets for a scrap of paper to write down orders. ||Breakfast was chaos. Certainly not busy but finding a clean table was difficult. ||The Vietnamese food was good as was the Street Food Buffet but the rest we tried was poor. Really poor. ||As we had a late afternoon flight I asked about a late check-out. The young man at reception was just looking into it before a senior member just interrupted and said the hotel was full and it was not possible, without even looking or asking what room we were in. A quick look at several booking websites showed this was not the case, same room was available to book. If hotel policy is not to allow late check-out then fair enough, no problem. Just don't lie to me!||Lobby coffee bar, never any staff available. ||The fact that the hotel is very isolated was not an issue as it was expected.||Management and ownership need a kick up the proverbial. More trained staff and improved maintenance is needed. ||Not worth the money. We couldn't wait to leave. Very, very...

This resort can be either a perfect choice or a below average choice based on your individual preferences and purpose of travel. We stayed for six nights in the Ocean view suite (most expensive) which had a living room. There are pros and cons for this resort which was overall a fun and relaxing experience: Rooms The rooms were clean and modern. Well maintained. The AC worked very well although it broke down in the middle of the night one time. The hotel took about 30 mins to service and fix the AC. There were some leaks from the AC around the suite but it didn’t bother us much. Rooms has robes and used slippers. The fridge in the room was broken and didn’t work Service Service was average compared to Marriott or IHG. The staff were helpful, room service was not good and took long. The staff was nice and helpful. They even upgraded someone in our party so they could have an adjoined room to ours. Breakfast The breakfast was not good at all. Bare minimum and not very fresh. Milk and water was warm/room temperature and the restaurant was under staffed. Didn’t have much options but enough to get by. If you don’t care much about a big breakfast with variety then you’re good. Location The private beach was absolutely STUNNING. It was emptier than the beach in front of the neighbouring hotels and the sand is vast and soft. A wonderful place for a beach holiday. However if you want to spend your time in Danang city or Hoi An, you will have to take grab. Not much around the resort so you will need to grab/taxi to go out for lunch or to the city. Bathroom The bathroom was big, clean and modern. Appreciated that in what is a run down resort. Price The ocean suite, although a lot cheaper than neighbouring hotels was not entirely worth it. Prices could have been lower for this resort. Pool The pool is small. Didn’t spend any time here as the beach was much nicer. There is a pool table and bar next to the pool but there was never any staff taking orders. Main lobby was not air conditioned and neither was the restaurant where breakfast is. However they have an AC section w a few tables. Other feedback- the staff struggled to understand when we asked for a first aid kit and did not have a well stocked first aid box.

I booked a room for my mom while she visited me in Vietnam. We had a great time at Centara Sandy Beach and and i would like to rate the resort performance as following: • Bungalow/accommodation: ☆☆☆☆ Even the bungalows getting up in years and the room facilities and furnishing are simple, the rooms are cosy, convenient and clean. One thing is really missing: An outside cloth drying rack for swimming clothes and towels. • Breakfast Buffet: ☆☆☆☆☆ Great Breakfast, with daily different bread, pastry, fruits, salads, cheese and charcuterie, eggs freshly prepared, excellent coffee. Well balanced between western and Asian kitchen. Very clean buffet setup, well groomed. Friendly staff and good coffee. • Pool area & beach: ☆☆☆☆☆ The two pools and the beach are clean, enough sun lounger available. Relaxing atmosphere.. • Garden & green area: ☆☆☆☆☆ Great and well-tended (as expected in a Centara resort). Hammocks everywhere to stop over, read a book and relax. • Gym: ☆☆☆☆☆ A brand new 5* gym in a 4* resort. Amazing. Well done. • Spa: - N/A.There is on but we did not try it. • Restaurants: ☆☆☆ Nothing special. I was not really impressed. A bit pricy. There is still a lot of room for improvements. • Staff performance: ☆☆☆☆☆ Really friendly and helpful staff. In every department. They try to make your stay as comfortable as ever possible, not obtrusive but always here when you need them. Special thanks to the reception crew, to Ms. Anh and Mr. Hung, to Lan and Van. Thank you. All in all we had a very good time at Centara Sandy Beach and i highly recommend this resort if you are looking for a relaxing place....♥️♥️♥️

Centara Sandy Beach Resort Danang is a wonderful hotel. It is especially suitable for families with children, biker friendly as well. The huge area offer several opportunities to relax at the pools, in the various bars and especially on the beach. The entire location and the beach are very well maintained and clean. The staff is extremely helpful and speak a convenient English. Free Wifi is everywhere available. Additionally it is a wonderful hotel with many possibilities for excursions. Especially recommended: the Bana Hills with the cable car and the adventure park. Taxis or limousine service is provided by the hotel. Travel costs to downtown Da Nang are about US$ 9-10. Local currency can also be changed in the hotel to the normal tariff. Especially recommended: The Seefood BBQ Dinner. Excellent food and excellent quality. The bungalows are not on the very high quality standard as the rooms in the renovated main building. But they are located in the green garden area, sometimes right on the beach and very comfortable and cosy. You will enjoy your privacy there. Although there is also the in-room dinner service. In the evening this means that most employees are busy with food deliveries. That's why sometimes you have to wait a long time in the dining room for your own food. Unfortunately, music is always and everywhere in the bars and dining rooms, and sorry to say: sometimes too loud. I would definitely recommend this hotel. The wide clean beaches invite you to swim in the clean water and sunbathe.
