Golden Rose Hotel — Hotel in Bà Rịa - Vũng Tàu Province

We initially booked an ocean-view room for 3 nights, and extended it to 4 nights as we liked Con Son. The view from our second floor room was partially obscured by the large hotel signage. And for what we paid - close to 2 million VND per night, I’d have expected the hotel to offer more in terms of facilities. Its saving grace is the location. Couldn’t fault the staff - they were courteous and pleasant to deal with. When checking out, we were asked to pay 30,000 VND for two small bottles of drinking water we had consumed. I naively thought they were free as every other hotel we’ve stayed in Vietnam provides two free bottles of drinking water. It’s not a lot of money, but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth. Apparently, only the water provided in the glass bottle is free, but how would one know? Perhaps I should have been more diligent in google translating every sign...

The outside cafe makes a really nice espresso. BUT why is it not possible to get a coffee with coconut milk or any other lactose free product?!? Btw... Coconut milk obviously IS available in other coffee variations (as shown on the menu). As these get mixed with lactose ingredients, it obviously doesn't help at all if you're lactose intolerant. Very beautiful seaside street comes to this 2F terrace of golden rose hotel. To choose as my accommodation for three nights, and also ride motorbike to look around this island. Very chill to have a drink outdoor in this café shop next to hotel. Very warm courtesy for a free riding you to airport, big van car. If you want to spend your time in Con Dao,yes, absolutely...
