At first, the place looks really cosy and stylish but unfortunately there went so many things wrong.

  1. There is one young guy who perfectly speaks English and has everything under control. If his shift is over the others are completely lost..

  2. Kitchen takes way too much time.

  3. We ordered the steak and a peperoni pizza. Steak came without mixed Salat as a side dish (as mentioned in the menu), on the pizza was every thing except Peperoni. If you want to confront them, see 1)

  4. After dinner we ordered two gin tonic. It was such a small Glas I think they forgot the gin... again you have the language problem see 1)

  5. Way to expensive for what you get.

  6. Staff is unfriendly and incompetent.

  7. They closed earlier and excepted new guests without telling them that they're closing soon.

I know vietnam is different and you can't compare it to western standards. But this restaurant is quite expensive for vietnam conditions, so I think you can expect a certain level of quality which is, unfortunately, not given...

Stumbled on this place randomly and so happy we did. ‘Downtown’ is pretty boring and this spot is like water in a barren desert of nothing. It’s pretty cute and ‘hip’ inside. They menu was relatively large and it had a number of interesting sounding vegetarian meals.

They were between breakfast and dinner when we showed up but said they could still serve us drinks. My partner got a Vietnamese cappuccino and I got a smoothie with mango, yogurt, baileys, and some other things. We also managed to get a ginger creme brûlée (since I guess dessert doesn’t require as much prep or they had the ingredients handy?). The drinks were fine - my partner wasn’t sure what made his Vietnamese cappuccino anything other than a normal cappuccino. The creme brûlée was honestly fantastic - one of the best either of us has ever had. Not too sweet, nice ginger...

It seem here is the only place in Con Dao island where I could find my favorite Americano coffee. This cafe shop had moved to the new place not too far from the previous location. Just right behind the main market. Larger house but seem to be a problem for arrangement. Much better if the owner puts more random tables and chairs in different styles and colors rather than just a boring repeated seats. Smarter if they could arrange an area with air-cont so people can feel more comfortable in the hot season or somebody who love working with laptop, there is plenty of space to do this. Price should be down a bit to capture local guest in quiet tourist season, 2 dollars for one small size Americano is two times expensive than what I will pay for in downtown of Sai Gon city....

What a beautiful and quality coffe place. The staff is super welcoming. The kind man that served us is a treasure of this cafe! We loved it there.

Only had a single experience here so I am not going to rush to judgement on this place. It’s a great space, maybe a little loud in its openness but still quite visually impressive and thoughtfully designed. The staff are wonderful and the cocktails are really tasty. I’m sure the coffee is good as well. The only knock for me was the food was a little bland. Black ink pasta came out soggy and the teriyaki squid was simple and without much substance. Normally I wouldn’t just move on to the next place and leave it at that but I can tell this place aspires to be among the best on the island. I’d happily try it again on another occasion if the chance arrives but would stick to something simple like a burger.
