In the period from March 20, 1895 to April 19, 1895, the well-known French composer Camille Saint-Saëns stayed on the island at the invitation of a friend he knows from Paris to complete the last three chapters of his opera "Brunilda". Enjoy the view and the very few scooters passing by. The magnificent, historical houses just behind you and the ancient trees makes this place rather ghostly - in a good way! Especially cosy on a windy evening. Don’t know what else is going on in the actual building but it is pretty curious. Great smoothies and iced coffee/milk, complimentary glass of water & iced green tea. Handy also for street food sellers who appear in the afternoon,with there yummy fare.
